RedWillie Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 We did actually get a mention..... "If Rochdale beat Southampton on Tuesday then they will go into sixth spot..........", funny they didn't say "If Southampton beat Rochdale on Tuesday they will go 3 points clear still with a game in hand !!!" pap Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 Manish was too busy fluffing the script up, so I would be unsurprised if there was something about Saints which he forgot to say. Nervy performance by the lad.

Lallana's Left Peg Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 They are trying to make the automatic promotion race as interesting as possible, despite the fact that results yesterday were very significantly weighted in Saints favour. It's just poor editorial work.

Dig Dig Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 They have hardly mentioned us all season. Even when we had our feature game against bournemouth a few weeks ago, they just spoke about goberns sending off, not the significance of the result. It's not just the beeb though, sky tend to big up other teams for the 2nd promotion spot before saints....strange

gaz Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 If they feature the same thing every week it'd be boring to most fans as they aren't Saints fans. leithsaint Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 with regards to Joe Lewis, it is becoming almost farcical, from memory, that is clear mistakes in the games against MK Dons, Bournemouth, and now Huddesfield. Cost Peterborough, what, 5 points? That is huge.

Cost Peterborough, what, 5 points? That is huge. Yeah, I was catching up on footy this morning on iPlayer, and thought exactly that. The goals that dropped Petersborough points against Huddersfield and Bournemouth were proper howlers. Agree with @NickG about Kelvin. I had misgivings initially because of bad reports from a Mackem mate, but we've kept a lot of clean sheets with him between the sticks. Mind you, the fact that he has Fonte in front of him probably doesn't hurt. Jaidi is doing very well for a man of his age too.

Lighthouse Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 Another reason I want to get promoted. I can go to bed half an hour early on Saturday night (Sunday morning) instead of having to sit through highlights of a complete none-event between Oldham and Rochdale, just to see 20s of Saints footage. I know NpC highlights are hardly conclusive, but it's an improvement.
Saint Lindford Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 I see that Barney got a yellow after scoring - What's that all about? If soemone could enlighten me, please. It was for cupping his hand to his ear and then putting his finger to his mouth (shhhsshhh). Referee clearly told him that as he booked him. He had been getting dogs abuse from the fans behind that goal all second half.
LGTL Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 Both SKY and BBC have conveniently forgotten about our games in hand for about the last month, if we do get 2nd they'll probably come out with some guff about us "making a late charge". niceandfriendly Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 Barney was booked for going into our fans to celebrate wasn't he? You can see he does this from Tractor Saint's video, the ref won't have heard Barney swear. It was pretty loud at the time.
niceandfriendly Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 Leyton goal offside? looks onside to me. We were lucky. I guess it depends which moment you're looking at. The player on the line was miles offside for the first attempt which Rickie blocked, but got back onside for the second go. No idea if it should be given or not, but don't care after being mugged by a terrible decision at Charlton (N'Guessan).

Tractor_Saint Posted 10 April, 2011 Share Posted 10 April, 2011 Better coverage here surely: #Saintsfc 1-0 #lofc http://bit.ly/eWtehH #Saintsfc 2–0 #lofc http://bit.ly/g8SIjF Have to agree that the coverage was shocking for a game where they could have shown the two offside Orient goals and also the fantastic saints crowd! Have we upset someone ? Let's hope so ! I to thought it was very strange up into 2nd & 2 games in hand, also the If Rochdale beat us on Tuesday they go into a play-off place??? Doesn't make much sense, but as said by others let them talk about others while we do our talking on the pitch another 6-points by 5pm Saturday please Saints. As for Lewis great save from the penalty & then lets it through him again for a last min equaliser. He is costing them big style, hope he continues in his rich vein of form for the next 5 games.
