Easy win. Well done Kelvin, it just shows that we can't switch off even for a moment.

**** Brighton up the arsehole but it doesn't matter - one more win and we've done it!

Bye Bye League One, we hardly knew ye.

Great result, so good to see us grinding out the wins. A win on Monday and we are done, and what a game the Walsall game would be.

Fair play to the udders though, we just cant shake them off at all. Would be gutted for them if they didn't go up in the play offs (assuming we get second).

Fair play to Huddersfield, they will be taking us to the last day one way or another.

A good win for us, very well done to Kelvin Davis in particular. A win against Plymouth and it's done all bar the shouting, can't wait for Monday now.

Forget Brighton and Hudds... we've shown today that we're getting better as the season reaches its clmax... perfect timing. Brentford may have had nothing to play for but we went there and did a very good job.

Plymouth can still mathematically stay up, but they have to win both games and rely on others to not get any points. They'll be up for it but I am confident we have more than enough to do it.

Win Monday, and it's ours. That's all that matters now.

We can and will do it.

A great win made to feel like a draw because of a bad sport baboon-faced South American an his cohort of cheats.

As long as we keep focused on our game and not worry about anyone else, this should only be a 48hrs delay. We would have needed another point anyway without Huudersfields third goal, and playing for a draw is dangerous.

Keep doing what we're doing, forget the rest and enjoy the run-in.

Saints are going up!

This ^^

Great result for us, makes it much easier compared to last weekend!!

P1ss poor performance of the week - tough call between Brighton's defence & the SWF server!

Any other day, a 3-0 away win would be fantastic! Stupid Gayers - worthy champions my ar5e :x

Still, we did what we had to do, peno save from KD, another clean sheet. Now we draw a blue line under the game and move on to the next one ;)

Congrats to Bompey too on securing a play off place. I hope we go up on Monday and they do it via the lottery.

Quite simply, Plymouth must win or it's curtains for them. Not only that, they then need to win their last game at home to Orient and require us to lose at home to Walsall to have any chance of staying up. No doubt Plymouth will go out all guns blazing but if we can keep it tight early on and get a foothold I don't think it will take too much for their heads to drop - especially having lost a knackering derby two days before.

Hope Guly's fit to play.g

Good result, well done to all, but special mention to KD who basically saved some really squeaky bum minutes.

Don't do conspiracy theories, but Brighton played them off the park, conceded 3 soft ones (judging by what was said here) - evidently the last game and the Withdean didn't mean that much.

No matter - win another game, and so long as Huddersfield dont win 15 odd nil - we are there - under our own steam - all our own work.

I expected Brighton to lose that, no surprise to me. What an effort by us though, great win. 20 clean sheets - quality.

The important thing for me is that we now go into the last day in 2nd - so whatever happens at Plymouth it's still all in our hands.

Fantastic result today lads! :) This was our trickiest game on paper and we went and won 3-0, fantastic. Didn't matter what Huddersfield did because we have to MASSIVELY winnable games left, they only have one, and our goal difference got EVEN BETTER today.

We are so close, roll on monday. COME ON YOU SAINTS!! :)

Yes, a draw is no use to either side on Monday looking at the league table so could be interesting with both sides going for the win.

Great win, who gives a flying feck about that git Poyet... looks like they battered them but gifted them 3 goals... all I will say on that. WE MUST NOT GET caried away and think we are there yet. Both these last two games are going to be really tough - we NEED to win one at least and far better to do that on Monday rather than have the brown trouser moment next week.... focus, work hard and do a pro job, which will sadly mean we send Plynmouth down... but we must get this down and dusted Monday.. How you feeling about it at the moment Alps? Think we'll do it?

Plymouth must win both their last games to stay up.

Walsall must win their last game to stay up.

We could be in for an uncomfortable 180mins, but confident we can prevail.

Walsall must win to be certain of staying up. A draw or defeat may also be enough. D&R are at Peterborough next week - a draw would do it for them if we beat Walsall. God, how I wish BHA had held on. Bastards.

Interesting one for both Walsall and D&R - stick or twist. Surely they've both got to try and win....

Gutted after the late Huddersfield goal.

Not sure about Monday, when was the last time Saints won three away games in a row?

Agreed, and I would obviously prefer that it had been wrapped up today. But.....we really ought to have enough in the locker to beat plymouth, home or away? Surely?

Looks like the BBC were a bit ahead of themselves with their match report:

"And substitute Gobern grabbed his first Saints goal to wrap up a 13th win in 15 matches, meaning one win from their last two games should be enough for them to seal a return to the Championship even if Huddersfield win their final fixture."

We've had a great result and yet i'm gutted.Very worried about Monday its going to be hard.Still so worried we're going to screw up.

Throw it round the other way, if we'd have got a last minute winner to make it Brentford 0 - 1 Saints, we'd all be sure we were almost there and Huddersfield fans would be the ones deflated. Our win is the better win as it ensures we go into the last day in 2nd, no matter what we do at Plymouth.

We should not doubt ourselves, I'm not worried. We have 2 games to get 3 points. It's not going to be easy at all, but we're good enough and focused enough to do it.

Why?

That's correct.
