17 more points?

You're constantly negative then expect us to win 5 of our last 8 games? I'm struggling with you?

On a personal note, I can't predict. If we take out chances then there is no reason why we can't win every game, but also if we don't then we will struggle. I would probably go for about 9/10 points personally.

EDIT: Ok decided to have a guess.

March 30 Chelsea Lose

April 6: Reading Win

April 13: West Ham Win

April 20: Swansea Lose

April 27: West Brom Draw

May 4: Tottenham Lose

May 12: Sunderland Draw

May 19: Stoke Win

Can see us comfortably getting 9 points, after constant worry all season I really can't see us going down now with our decent run in. I think they'll be a shock relegation this year from someone most people thought were safe... (West Ham?!)

A lot of fans on here call other supporters 'arrogant' in their attitude to other clubs yet predictors here brush aside Stoke, Swansea, WBA and West Ham and most of our opponents like they are 'just turn up with your boots and we'll win' opponents. It might work on Sunday mornings but in professional situation every single game we have left we could be easily beaten.

It's just not that fecking easy. I think we'll do it but I don't look at Reading and go 'oh they're crap we'll win...'

March 30 Chelsea (H) Win

April 13: West Ham (H) Win

May 4: Tottenham (A) Lose

May 12: Sunderland (A) Win

Overconfident? :-D

9 more points and we're safe IMO. 3 wins. That should be doable, even if we have to beat Stoke on the last day. Will it come to that? Hope not.

I think we'll get 10 more points.

With the way we can beat anyone or lose to anyone though, it could be any combinion of those teams we get them against...

Pretty much how I feel as well. Quite confident we'll get enough points to survive, though in what games I don't know. Quite liable to drop points at home in a game we think we should win, just as we are to pick up points in a game we thought we wouldn't get anything from.

I reckon 2 wins, 3 draws and just about safe on 40 points. After the results against Man City, Liverpool and QPR though I've given up predicting which games they will come in.

At a guess, we will beat WBA and Stoke, draw with Wham, Reading and Sunderland. Lose the rest.

April 13: West Ham WIN

April 20: Swansea LOSE

April 27: West Brom DRAW

May 4: Tottenham LOSE

12 points seeing us to a nice stress free 15th finish with Villa going down on GD instead of Sunderland. Wigan to pull it off once more.

I have us going into the last game on 40 points, 6 points clear of the drop zone - with Reading cut adrift at the bottom on just 24 points and a last day scramble between:

15 Newcastle 36 pts -16 GD

16 Aston Villa 37 pts -30 GD

17 Sunderland 34 pts -16 GD

18 QPR 34 pts - 23GD

19 Wigan 34 pts - 27 GD

10 points for me. But as this weekend has shown, anything is possible at home, so Chelsea is far from a certain loss and WBA are there for the taking too. I just don't see everything going our way.

You must have thoughts Adkins was a **** manager as he never got close to these results earlier in the season. It's strange cos I don't remember you criticising him like you do Poch.

interesting how most have us losing to Swansea. they're not a long ball team and I feel our pressing style can get us at least a point out of that game. also noted that their small squad size is starting to take its toll on their performances of late plus they are almost certainly safe for next season. just felt we could get at least a point against them

Chelsea: Loss,

Reading: Loss,

West Ham: Loss,

Swansea: Loss,

West Brom: Loss,

Spurs: Loss,

Sunderland: Loss,

Stoke: Loss.

Don't think we'll get another point this season.

Can't see where our next win is gonna come from unfortunately, our goal difference is going to take a battering against Chelsea in just under 2 weeks time as well.

Weirdly, that could still keep us up, if Wigan gain no more than 3 points...

This looks about right. We've got a couple of wins in us which will see us through.

We have a perfect, no pressure opponent on the last day and the bonus that one of Wigan or Villa will send the other down handily using up a spot.
