Well you must live and socialise in a really loony left progressive bubble if you think only a couple of people in 50,000 are racist.

You and many on here seem to be more angered by virtue signally than social justice but funnily the only two people to mention having black friends are you and Hypo.

Do you mean people ARE racist or are openly/vocally racist? I've no doubt there are far more people out there with racist thoughts but so long as they don't manifest in behaviour or language, that's acceptable.

For some black people racial inequality does not exist on the scale that you believe that it does.

I seem to remember you using the same argument relating to the lack of equality in pay for women. You find one or two examples to support your world view and that’s you done, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

You seem to have missed the countless interviews with black people recounting their experiences with racial equality. You ignored the likes of Raheem Stirling when he said that racism was still a problem in football. You seem to have filtered out the hundreds of thousands of black people marching in support of BLM.

As white people we have no idea what it is like to face racial inequality on a daily basis, but the very least we can do is to listen to those who do experience it and do something to help them stop it, even if it means voting against the Tory party whose leader is a self declared racist.

Do you realise how condescending white people sound when they try and tell black people that the problem really isn’t that big?

Perhaps the black people you know who play this down should take you along to a BLM meeting so that you can all hear about the experiences of people who have to put up with this sh*t on a regular basis?

Surely this is the thread for it?  Modern slavery wouldn't exist if we had already re-examined and learnt from history would it?

My apologies, you are right. I thought it was carrying on from the What Is Wrong With America thread and hadn’t noticed the new thread name. D’oh!

Soggy will be apoplectic.

I don’t do Twitter so it makes little difference to me, other than when her obnoxious views feed over into other outlets. The ban is long overdue. The trouble is that those who lap up her “tell it like it is” BS will either find another racist rent a gob to follow or they will seek her out elsewhere.

At least when she is mainstream she can been seen for what she is and challenged.

It might not have been 'racial' inequality, but I am fairly certain that Catholics who lived in Ulster through the 40's 50's and 60's would have had some idea.

I’m pretty certain there’s some white Jewish people who face prejudice on a daily basis, particularly from Muslims.

Soggy & his ilk only seem to count white on black racism. I bet Percentage wise there’s as many blacks prejudiced against whites, as whites prejudiced against blacks, and far far higher percentage of Muslims that hate Jews than those racists  added together.

Imagine the white community was as prejudice against gays, women & blacks like The Muslims one is towards gays, women & Jews, Soggy would be apoplectic.

interesting to see that it appears some of the events last week may have been set ups by either the media or the police. Certainly looks very suspicious that the black guy carrying the white guy to safety may have been a complete set up by the left wing media and/or police with rumours at least one of them (the white guy) was an undercover copper. It’s also said some of the so called racist hooligans were seen being dropped off in land cruisers Close to some of the BLM protestors who funnily enough  knew all about it.

It’s not a rumour he was an ex-copper. Quite a bit known about him and his village now campaigning to get rid of his chairman role or whatever. God knows what you think the benefit is of fabricating a story,

Do you think Neil Armstrong walked on moon it was it a big warehouse?

Great story isn’t it. A copper goes undercover to infiltrate hooligan gangs, gets a tattoo, fits in perfectly, then loves it so much he gets too involved and had to be pulled out, then seen later as a right wing protest unclear if he’s on another job or not. The only thing missing is to tell us he went under the name John, with his side kick Trevor who posed as painter and decorators. you could make a Film out of it couldn’t you, oh wait, they already have......

We need to come together and not let the terrorist divide us. Don't look back in anger.

According to that Monopoly board, owning a TV licence and boycotting The Sun makes you a bad person.

Presumably the marketing team who designed it to harvest angry white men's social media details, ran out of ideas.

Shortly before starting it.

No surprise some thick cunts think it’s  a good idea.

fair Play to Ben Mee for calling it how it is:

“I’m embarrassed and ashamed at the fans bringing that out. They’ve completely missed the point. These people need to come into the 21st century and educate themselves.”

I don't think it's a good idea, mostly because it was starting to die down a bit and now it's going to get all worked up again. I certainly don't think anyone should be charged with a hate crime over it though if that's really what is happening. That's patently absurd.

Burnley is one of those horrible places that epitomises the home of the thick racist Brexit voter. Overweight, badly dressed aggressive ugly sorts making it a thoroughly depressing place. If you lived there you would hate everything and be a right wing cnt.

They stood out when featured on Real Football Factories as a ugly in-breads that no designer clothes could mask or make them appear anything but pitiful.

Wow,

In the English Indices of deprivation of 2019, Burnley had the 15th and 17th most deprived areas out of nearly 33,000 Local authority districts.

to place that in context, Tower Hamlets lowest ranking was 2763.

If you lived there you would be one of the poorest people in England.

Racism is thankfully a lot less in the UK than in other countries, but maybe the key to making former BNP hotbeds like Burnley and Stoke less racist is to raise their standard of living, rather than just telling them they're thinking wrongthink.

Slagging them off does nothing,

It'll be inciting racial hatred - it was done to wind up Sterling et al.

Winding someone up is now a hate crime? I expect it was most likely done to highlight what they would perceive to be a double standard. Like I said though I don't think it was a good idea because everyone involved is just going to double down on it.

I was sent the WhatsApp conversation for it last night, just don't know how to post it on this forum - any ideas? Don't know how to post a screenshot and run out of posts anyway...

Hate Crime is any offence towards a protected characteristic which is perceived to be motivated by prejudice or hostility.

There is no legal definition of hostility so this could cover prejudice, contempt, antagonism etc.

It can include verbal abuse, harassment, intimidation etc.

Whether any prosecution will be brought under this or not is unclear.

I know but that's the entire reason that it's insane. Literally anything could potentially fall under that definition as long as the "victim" decides on the motivation.

I see the hypocrites are out in force this morning all over this condemning the person as racist and leaping on the whole city of Burnley as being right wing racist scum from a sh1t hole. How very judgemental! Surely we shouldn't leap to any conclusions on this and wait and see who is behind it. Rather than criticising an entire city as being fat, badly dressed, ugly and racist we should support the reasons as to why they feel like this? Burnley is historically one of the poorest areas in the country so maybe we should be helping them and working with them.  Rather than crucify an entire town maybe we should understand whoever was behind it was just a lone wolf with mental problems and doesn't represent all of Burnley or all white people? How do we even know he was white and from Burnley, it might be a left wing black or asian person behind it? If the #WLM movement supports the funding of police, demands an apology from the government for the slavery inflicted on millions by the Roman empire and is against the trafficking of girls from eastern europe, is that a bad thing?
