James Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Perfect summary of Martin ball by the BBC although “throwing caution to the wind” is generous in an attacking sense as the build up is usually walking pace. 1

Turkish Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 7 hours ago, Fabrice29 said: It feels like that ‘incredible run’ you mentioned would be considered real consistency but I suppose it’s subjective. And yes, there were plenty of people who decided they didn’t enjoy it or it wasn’t going well etc but the facts we scored a hell of a lot of goals, won quite a lot of games and ultimately had a successful season that year. If you can’t enjoy a season like that then I feel sorry for you because taking a season like that for granted shouldn’t be done. We finished behind the 2 teams we’d finished behind the season prior and beat one of them in the most important game of the season and also of course behind Ipswich. We didn’t fall over the line, we finished fourth and stepped up in the pressure moment. Last season was obviously a shit show. I’m not convinced he’s the main reason for that personally but it’s subjective and if people want to call him a vegan cunt for that because they think it’s funny then good for them. I think obsessively watching his teams in the hope they lose and you can quickly fire a minute by minute report of it on a messageboard is a bit strange. Especially when you consider our new managers thread took a month or so to go through the amount of pages this has tonight. But the idea that the Championship is just a foregone conclusion and Martin nearly fucked it up is wrong. Fingers crossed this season goes smoothly and allows people to continue that narrative obviously but I’ll be as equally as impressed by Still if he gets us up with the ease everyone expected Martin to do and makes it even more exciting with all the goals we’ll no doubt score. Do you cry yourself to sleep every night with Russell’s picture under your pillow? 4 1

Maybe you can try to talk some sense into some 40,000 Rangers fans who are convinced he’s terrible then. You can list his plus points to put them at ease and talk about the good job he did in our championship season. Should pacify them for a bit. I couldn’t give one toss about the job he’s doing there. 5

I’ve defended his work at Saints because I was tagged into the thread during what seemed to be a 3 page minute by minute report on a Rangers game. Haven’t commented on any of his games over the past weeks.

Convenient you’ve had nothing to say about that, and making out you don’t care. Had they blitzed every game however, you’d have been all over it, mocking those who wanted him gone and pointing to how the grass isn’t always greener or some other smug nonsense. Textbook stuff fella 3

You were on this thread within 2 minutes of Rangers scoring their first league goal FFS 😂 2
badgerx16 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago "Forty minutes into Rangers' mortifying night at Ibrox, Djeidi Gassama won a corner at the Broomloan Stand end and his manager, Russell Martin, applauded on the sideline. The sound of one man clapping was deafening. Rangers trailed 3-0 at the time, there had been multiple outbreaks of booing and scores of people had already headed home. When Ibrox turns on its own like this, there's a temptation to put in the earplugs and don the crash helmet. It ain't pretty. It's as visceral as it gets; loud and vicious, words coming like blades, capable of cutting their target in half. A corner might have done it for the manager, but it wasn't doing it for the masses.".….…..... "Could Rangers afford to give up so many chances to Brugge, a club that has sold around £70m worth of talent this summer but an outfit that retains enough slick operators to punish slapstick defending? No, came the answer after three minutes when Nasser Djiga - back to life after playing dead in the build-up to Alloa's first goal in the League Cup last weekend - downed tools and let Romeo Vermant away from him to brilliantly lob Jack Butland."....... "No, came the answer again after seven minutes when Jorne Spileers, untroubled by a blue jersey in his midst, side-footed home from a corner. These were the kinds of moments that Rangers survived in previous games. Not now." "And no came the answer again after 20 minutes when Rangers failed with two attempts to clear their box, a hesitancy and incompetence that saw Brandon Michele rifle a third past Butland. At that point, the only prayers that could have been offered up on Rangers' behalf would have given thanks to the man above that this team was not going any further in this Champions League. You were on this thread within 2 minutes of Rangers scoring their first league goal FFS 😂 Their first league goal was against Dundee on the 9th apparently and I made 1 post that day in the Wrexham thread, so, that’s not true. And the only posts I’ve made in here about RM and Saints. But anyway, now we’re into the realms of assuming I’m Lucy Pinder/Another family member and/or just making up stuff about when and what I’m posting I think I’ll let the people who are doing minute by minute reports on Rangers matches because they are losing judging someone for posting when they scored a goal, that didn’t happen. 2

You posted at 8.55pm, as Fry says, within 2 mins of them scoring their first goal. Perfectly normal behaviour. 😂 1
