Now that Ross Stewart is a Blackburn player, as confirmed on x, it got me thinking about others players that have played for both clubs.

James Beattie

Sam Gallagher

Egil Ostenstad

Mark Hughes

Kevin Davies

Ben Brereton Diaz

Stuart Ripley

Graham Le Saux

Adam Armstrong

Tim Flowers

Ross Stewart (when he makes his debut)

Any more?

Ah yes good one. For some reason only remembered him playing for Birmingham.

Given the players who moved from us to Blackburn most seem to be a huge success. Looks like Ross is going to follow in their footsteps, massive loss but sure he’ll thrive at Ewood Park as most ex Saints seem too

If you were Ross you’d be getting pretty worried. Turned down a slam dunk contract, pre season has started and there don’t appear to be many offers flowing in. For a near 30 year old with dodgy fitness a solid pre season would have been essential but if he’s not been signed now he won’t be top of anybody’s plans.

What are you talking about? He signed for Blackburn. 2 year deal and scored a hattrick for their development team last night. Odds on to be their top goalscorer this season. We need to move on

I should imagine he is far from worried. A very rich sportsman who will certainly get another multi-million £ contract very soon.

As for offer not flowing in, how do you know?

Can't find any confirmation he has actually signed for Blackburn ?? Mention of possible talks with Saints ....

Did you miss the 50 odd posts in this very thread confirming he's signed for them?

It was even publicised by a well known, very trustworthy local Blackburn journalist.

Time to move on.

I doubt he's that "rich", certainly not in the "never needs to work again" category. Would have been on a League One contract with Sooonderland and we signed him in the Championship.

Sure, he's comfortable, but he also didn't need to sabotage his career.

I’m sort of torn on Ross - towards the end of season he showed what a good player he is. Some very useful goals and with Larin offered us a focal point and outlet.

However I find it hard to ignore the injuries, how do you be out for months for a diving header at Derby?
