Sarnia Cherie Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Unfortunately, City managed a win. That should shut Dias up at least. Bournemouth must play proper football unlike us and Palace. If Man U win tonight will they fall into the same trap as last season in keeping a failing manager just because they win a trophy at the end of it? I would prefer to see Spurs win. Postecoglu has had a dreadful season for injuries and my Dad loved his Spurs.
sockeye Posted May 21 Posted May 21 I lost a lot of respect for Spurs fans after their attitude during the City game last year. Wanting to miss out on Champions League to stop Arsenal winning the league is very small-minded. I also dislike Man United more than Spurs. Postecoglou was referred to as a clown by the media, well “New Trafford” looks like a circus! I like Ange Postecoglou. For that reason I’d like Spurs to win.
TheAlehouseBrawlers Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Spurs v Man Utd…mmm…could they both lose? That would be best. 3 1
Give it to Ron Posted May 21 Posted May 21 It's like watching two one legged men try to kick fuck out of each other. 4
Give it to Ron Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Man Utd just asked about buying the Spurs number 13 in the summer. ”how much is Udogie in the window “ 5

Holmes_and_Watson Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Bruno fallen down twice already with horrendous facial injuries, caused by any touch whatsoever. That, and the thought of Postecoglou sticking his fingers up at the collective IQ point of the hacks, makes me hope Spurs get the win. 5

ChrisPY Posted May 21 Posted May 21 (edited) I’m fairly sure you could swap the teams in the Europa League Final and Championship Play Off Final without anyone noticing. (Aside from things like ‘Mount’s doing alright tonight but why’s he got Brereton Diaz on his back?’) Edited May 21 by ChrisPY
bpsaint Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Bruno Fernandes is such a whiney little rat faced cunt. love seeing United be shit, long may it continue 1 1
Saint_clark Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Kevin Danso with a crucial defensive header and likely to be a European champion in 60 seconds. 2
sockeye Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Full-time. The football wasn't great at times and you could tell why Tottenham and Man United have suffered in the league this season. But Tottenham just had that edge this game. They were desperate to win. Very tidy defending when it was needed most. Man United, off the boil and wasteful.
S-Clarke Posted May 21 Posted May 21 (edited) Jesus, the state of that game. 16th v 17th, and it showed. Spurs will celebrate, but that shouldn't paper over the cracks as they are proper shit. Man Utd though, they are broken beyond repair at this point. Which is quite funny to see when you grew up in a generation where everyone walked around with their united full kits on, and took the piss out of you for supporting your local side. Edited May 21 by S-Clarke 10
Jimmy_D Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Shows you how far Man Utd have fallen when not even Spursy can save their season! That said, how are Spurs one place above the relegation zone and European Champions? 1

This absolutely sums it up for me too. Years of plastics giving it the big one. Fuck em, hope this shit carries on into next season for them. 2
BotleySaint Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Pure ridiculousness that the teams finishing 4th and 5th bottom of the league end up playing each other in a major European final. On another year they might have been battling relegation or even been relegated. Match about as awful as expected but credit to Spurs. They did what they had to do. Ange delivered on his promise. Quite quite crazy.

sockeye Posted May 21 Posted May 21 (edited) What a bizarre season. I'm sure at the start of this season, maybe any season, Saints fans would snap your hand off to finish three places below a Tottenham with Champions League football the following year. They would never guess that would be 20th place. Edited May 21 by sockeye 3
woodsaint1 Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Two horrible clubs. If only one of us promoted sides could've put up a fight this season to drag them into a relegation scrap

Holmes_and_Watson Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Richarlison was the best on the park, wanted it the most, and led by example. When he went off, and Spurs started defending their third, I thought Maguire would get something. An excellent save, a couple of decent ones,ma clearance off the line were needed. Then the pedigree that only an ex Saint can bring, as Danso shored things up. Not much sympathy for Man Utd. Their self inflicted ownership, top heavy structure and dreadful recruitment continues to be funny. They did reach a major final, so not all doom and gloom. 2nd Season trophy specialist Postecoglou can ride off into the sunset, with another victory.

bpsaint Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Just seen a few social media posts about the bird connection with four of this seasons trophy winners, of which three of those teams broke major trophy droughts, and the season Harry Kane finally lifts a major trophy so do Spurs. Funny old game innit. 1

Lighthouse Posted May 21 Author Posted May 21 Glad Spurs won that, as with no European football next season the misery is just beginning for United. 1
Saintbone10 Posted May 21 Posted May 21 I've never had to mute a game so much. I can't stand them singing "oh when the spurs" Made me want Utd to win. Can't they get their own song 🙄 5

Saint_clark Posted May 22 Posted May 22 7 hours ago, CSA96 said: Amorim's taken it well... As bad as they've been it'll be a joke if he does go. Them finishing so low is the result of sacking managers 25% of the way through every rebuild. They need to pick a manager and say come what may, you are the manager for the next three seasons. They should have given that chance to Solskjaer or Ten Haag who were both much more successful than Amorim.

coalman Posted May 24 Posted May 24 So who do we least want to play next season out of Sunderland and Sheff Utd? Can BBD score some goals to up his transfer price?
Lighthouse Posted May 24 Author Posted May 24 2 minutes ago, coalman said: So who do we least want to play next season out of Sunderland and Sheff Utd? Willo of Whiteley Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Russell Martin the Sky guest at Wembley today. Is he still sniffing for jobs or was the Leicester one confirmed?

Leicester have not announced they have sacked van Nistelrooy, and so haven't had a need to announce a replacement.
AlexLaw76 Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Martin could also end up at Rangers, but also Leicester could be hit with a points deduction before the end of the season!
