Pamplemousse Posted Sunday at 21:08 Posted Sunday at 21:08 Puma made a special anniversary kit for Port Vale this year, so if they can do a bespoke one for them, they can do one for us I'm sure. 1

Even more than the Hummel revival kit last time, this is an absolute no-brainer. I can't believe they wouldn't do it. 4

It’s the first replica kit for 8 years that I’d actually buy and wouldn’t look daft in as a middle aged bloke in a medium size. Last season’s were horrific, especially the Barbie away kit. I’m not against using pink but that was vile. That black/red pin-striped away design @Carozzi posted on here looked nice too as something I could wear other than at the games, although that would be a third kit as they’re understandably going to go yellow/blue on the first away kit. Even that looked really nice. Edited Monday at 17:27 by Gloucester Saint 1

Compare it to last season’s vile effort compounded by the very tacky logo. 1

Other then red and white we’ve no real tradition of out kit as we’ve messed around with the stripes since the 80’s . I'd like us to go back to navy blue (which we had for 59 years) because it just looks better IMO. Red, white and black feels like a colour combination from the 1980s. Dated. Naff. It's subjective though...and the club wont be changing back. 6
Chez Posted Monday at 20:29 Posted Monday at 20:29 (edited) If we are not going stripes, then maybe a return to a predominately red shirt might be an option? Perhaps with two tone stripes like the 2022/23 Ivory coast shirt. Puma are often too fussy, but this is simple. too simple? Not sure if it works in red/off red... Edited Monday at 20:30 by Chez 1

If not then I’d prefer to discontinue with the stripes, and have red and white halves, or the Keegan era kit.
sfc4prem Posted Tuesday at 19:58 Posted Tuesday at 19:58 They look fookin luvly. As with the Rank Xerox remake, it'll only be thought of positively if we do well in it.
Colinjb Posted Tuesday at 20:04 Posted Tuesday at 20:04 Hint of a plain red back on that otherwise excellent looking home kit.
Mattio Posted Tuesday at 20:05 Posted Tuesday at 20:05 Big fan if these unless the backs are dogshit 1
EBS1980 Posted Tuesday at 20:15 Posted Tuesday at 20:15 Only negative on home kit is it looks like it’s a plain red back and the logo looks to be a sticker, but least it’s not a big rectangular one.
Ted Bates Statue Posted Tuesday at 20:38 Posted Tuesday at 20:38 I see there's no blue present in P&O's logo, must have been a funny conversation during the negotiations. Not keen on the candy stripes, but I guess there's a lot of nostalgia towards it, as with the Danish kit two seasons ago. 1

Matthew Le God Posted Tuesday at 21:01 Posted Tuesday at 21:01 The collar on the home shirt looks odd. Might be due to the poor photo quality and it really is the shirt, but possibly could it be a sign of photoshopping or AI?
Pamplemousse Posted Tuesday at 21:04 Posted Tuesday at 21:04 I mean if someone has gone to all that effort to fake it then fair play (and what a waste of time). I guess we'll find out, but as it is 50 years since the FA Cup win I wouldn't be surprised if that was the design
Suhari Posted Tuesday at 21:05 Posted Tuesday at 21:05 Is this an actual early leak for us? That's pretty rare. Nice kits.

woodsaint1 Posted Tuesday at 21:10 Posted Tuesday at 21:10 How can anyone tell if the home shirt has a red back by that picture alone? Could just be red across the shoulders. A red back would be very odd 1

It was used from 1976 though, the kit before then was more generic stripes. So this would work better as a 'nod' to 1976 (even if, as you say, it was the season afterwards). But the year matters, right? 2

There's a double dark red stripe descending into the badge on the collar side. A collar that, as posted, does not fit the neck it's supposed to be attached to. Logo looks off colour too. Here's hoping it's a design they do end up using though.

Saint86 Posted Wednesday at 00:24 Posted Wednesday at 00:24 The sleeves / shoulder detail on the home looks shite with that red half merging from top and bottom. They always have to find some way to cock it up 🤦 2
