Leicester go down 2-1 to Preston with the latter looking to be comfortably the better side

It's very very early but some interesting signs emerging

Sheffield United made it three defeats in a week losing 1-0 at Swansea with zero shots on target. Selles already has his work cut out there and I'm sure they'll improve but poor start for a team tipped to be in contention for promotion

Our squad does look stronger by the game, and we haven’t even played particularly well.

No one is lighting up the league, or certainly no one you’d have expected to.

Middlesbrough are looking pretty good value - scored for fun at Millwall away.

They won't be up there. The club have gone down this bizarre AI/Data lead transfer strategy whilst letting some of the better performers last season leave, I can't see them mounting any serious recovery if they carry on as they are.

They were lucky to get to half time 0-0, but fair play for turning it around and getting a win.

A team not playing well but getting wins is always a threat.

Not sure he's all that from what I've seen and the Leicester fans certainly don't appear to be unanimous in championing his ability.

Can we do some Saints ones?

Passing backwards when through on goal - £100

Possession being below 70% - £250

Alan Ball instituted fines in training for hitting high balls into the channels post-Branfoot to cut the long ball obsession out.

Seems like a few of the 'favourites' are really struggling to get off of the blocks so far. Still so much uncertainty around most of our squads, so it's hard to know what 11 you'll be able to field most weeks.

Ipswich seem to be struggling to find their way, they don't like like the same outfit they were last time out in this league. Sheffield United were tipped as well, but they look hopeless.

Early days, but it shows how important the next week can be for everyone. No one is going to run away with it this year based on what I've seen so far, so some clever and suitable recruitment could be the difference.

El Khannouss may be staying at Leicester -

Quote

Crystal Palace's negotiations with Leicester City over forward Bilal El Khannouss have collapsed with the club now considering other options.

Palace want a replacement for Eberechi Eze, who joined Arsenal for £67.5m last week, and El Khannouss was top of their wanted list.

However, Leicester now consider the deal dead, and feel they don't now need to sell to meet their PSR obligations, having sold James Justin to Leeds and Kasey McAteer to Ipswich.

Palace had indicated they were prepared to agree a structured deal worth £32m for the Moroccan forward, but Leicester are adamant they want £35m up front.

It could be posturing and forcing someone to bid more money, but like with us keeping hold of Matty, that would be a good bit of news for Leicester.

Probably the least trustworthy club at PSR calculations.

How shifting only £50m of players means they’re good with PSR is anyone’s guess. Laughable how they still haven’t been given a deduction yet.
