I had honestly forgotten about this guy altogether.

Same, when I saw some of the OS Training pics I was trying to figure out who that was - thought it might have been an academy kid, then I remembered.

If Spors had any involvement with that signing, even a loose recommendation, then I'm concerned.

I reckon our current lot would easily lose 8-0 to that team, probably even more, as we're way, way, way worse than the Sunderland team of those years.

Agreed. That team had tenacity, drive and real quality in attack, midfield and defence. It would rip the current lot to pieces.

At least half the team will be unaffected by this season.

Yep.

I'd also like to see Rusk and Lallana sacked tonight

In other news, what on earth was the Gronbaek signing about? Hes even lesser spotted than Ross Stewart.

Surely one of our crack local journos has already sought and gained an explanation for this bizarre signing....? ;)

Well Simon Rusk isn’t an inspiration for the next three games…

Our positive to take was young Robinson coming on today. (Don’t even know if he touched the ball?).

That’s it, he even sounds like he’s given up.

He's only being truthful to be honest, there weren't any other positives. He isn't going to do himself favours by making up crap to try and fluff up the mood.

Maybe Sulemana being subbed was another positive, but beyond that I've got nothing.

I have supported this club for over 30 years, since I was interested in football as a nipper.

NEVER have I doubted why I bother before, supporting saints has always been through thick or thin for me. Season ticket in the champ season and league one etc.

But today I am genuinely embarrassed to be associated with this pathetic shower of shit.

Fucking useless, embarrassing, pathetic cunts.

The club does NOT deserve the fantastic fan base it has.

I do have certain emotions this season that I've not associated with this club before, definitely. Even when we went into admin and were being relegated from the Champ, I still felt some pride and hope and I enjoyed supporting this club.

There's nothing enjoyable about it anymore. I pretty much hate the entire first team squad. The club is the laughing stock of the country, they've humiliated the fan base and the city and it will never be lived down.

I've never felt so disconnected from the club as I do today. I don't know what the future holds and quite frankly I'm quite apprehensive about what that may be.

The fans were superb today.

Some of the muppets on here who slag them off and call them Noddies can do one..

Proper fans who show genuine commitment and passion. Support and slaughter the players when required.

Today other than Fernades and Ramsdale we roundly booed the other losers and gave them all the abuse they deserved.

Good to hear, in the absence of any leadership whatsoever in the technical area, training ground, in the senior players and worst of all boardroom, we will need to educate the younger players on what it means to play for the club and the standards expected. Learning by praise and criticism.

We're not bouncing back after this, I think we may be on a Stoke trajectory.

Based on what? The issue is recruitment. We have a new recruitment team that have not had a transfer window yet to judge them on.

There will definitely be a taker for Harwood-Bellis he’s very well regarded and will probably go on to have a decent career at a better club. Yet another example of throwing a young player into the premier league without experienced, decent players alongside them I’m afraid.

Yeah that's true. I don't blame him too much but we overpaid for him.

Yep, based on what? Out of your depth in the PL does not mean the players aren't good enough for a promotion challenge in the Championship.

On the train back home to Derby. Absolutely fucking dreadful. The Matty Fernandes song was pretty much the only highlight. Away fans deserve better than that.

We’re doing a Luton next season.

We dismantled Cardiff and Swansea this season without breaking sweat.

We'll be up there for sure.

With the new recruitment team in place, who are experienced at top level clubs in Europe, I'm confident we'll have a far better team than we currently do. I have faith.

We just have to look forward to these three games because every game is one less to go before most of these lot fuck off.

Their reserve teams of course. As long as they put out their reserves against us next season we’ll be fine ☺️

#deluded.

Cardiff finished rock bottom, and Swansea gave a debut to a goalkeeper after a season on the sidelines, and no recognised central defenders. We pretty much played a full side with Ramsdale, KWP, Dibling, MF & THB starting.

Had a bit of an issue dismantling Stoke reserves though didn’t we?

In the style of Katie Price, the Titanic did go down a bit quicker to be fair.

Saints were going down months ago , we just kept hoping they would win a match or at least get a point 😄 .

The Titanic disaster was due to poor design , a switch to cheaper steel to save money , a bunker fire that wasn’t delt with before it sailed from Southampton , which affected the strength of the steel plates that were hit by the iceberg . So total mismanagement leading to failure ………

We won’t getting promoted next year. We will do well to finish above 10th

With most of this lot minus Ramsdale, Fernandes and KWP, avoiding a Luton would be LMA nomination worthy.

The only hope is that Dragan is up for backing Spors to perform a total overhaul and/or part-subsidise loans out for the trash the club can’t sell eg Stephens, Smallbone.

Arsenal could line up as a guard of honour either side of an uncontested red carpet between the goals. We would still go in the wrong direction, and put it into our own net.

Extremely harsh to judge people on the actions of those that came before them. It is rational to withold judgement until you see how they do.

It may be new faces (as each new manager is), but it is STILL Sports Republic whose record we are considering. The question would be, "do you trust SR based on their previous record?"

It is the actions of people who are no longer making those decisions. No one is responsible for the actions of those that came before them in any field of work.

So why don't the fans in the stadium next game boo every sideways or backwards pass, even if were loosing? because the last 20 odd minutes that i watched there was no presence of urgency to try and make something happen. Even when they put the lighthouse of a center forward on, i don't seem to recall a cross going in,sorry yes i do Dibbling knocked one in with too much loft, but apart from that the teams a mess and are just going through the motions,Christ on a bike they even put youth  players on......................talk about men vs boys............utterly pathetic. What must our owner be thinking? after all its his money that's on the pitch .....

No doubt the other three at least made some effort to avoid it. Ramsdale probably has more respect for those three.

What specifically did I say that was 'barking'? We are completely out of depth in the PL, Leicester are better than us. But none of that means other Championship clubs (bar Ipswich) next season will be better than us.

And Leicester presumably?

Why are you asking that, when the post you just quoted literally says... "Leicester are better than us".

"other Championship clubs (bar Ipswich)"... means other i.e. other than Leicester that I already mentioned who were better!

It's alot more than recruitment that's wrong with our club. Get your head out the sand.

What? Before we go down another rabbit hole... by recruitment I mean of players and also hiring/firing managers and their styles of play.

There's only a hole in the ground because you kept digging it, after not being able to tell the difference between strategy decisions and recruitment ones, a few days back. 🙂
