For me it's the Clough past, and the European Cup successes. The successful underdogs. I loved seeing them come back up - the PL needs proper clubs like Forest, Leeds, etc. That said, I'm not a fan of how they've gone about things off the pitch. Pushed at the edges of the buying rules, and the complaint re Palace costing them a proper European place wasn't classy imo. Crazy sacking btw. Nuno has been brilliant there, but it seems like there wasn't room for the owners ego and Nuno. Shame. 3
Saint NL Posted 9 September, 2025 Posted 9 September, 2025 Big Ange is going to be appointed as Forest manager as his Greek mate is the owner. looking forward to the second season because he always wins something.

AlexLaw76 Posted 9 September, 2025 Author Posted 9 September, 2025 Madueke looks a threat, Anderson is good. Kane, obviously an elite finisher, but fucking hell, he is so slow and offers almost nothing in the build up

Even our fullbacks are making runs behind. Anderson looks class, a proper number 6. Could establish himself there for England for years to come. 1

Midfield_General Posted 9 September, 2025 Posted 9 September, 2025 Best England performance in literally years
Holmes_and_Watson Posted 9 September, 2025 Posted 9 September, 2025 Excellent performance, taking apart their opponents. Loads of pace around Kane, with strength and support from central midfield, versatile fullbacks and technical as well as solid central defenders. Oh, and Shouty Pickford too. Lots to like in that performance. Spence did really well when coming on too I thought. 2
egg Posted 9 September, 2025 Posted 9 September, 2025 It's taken a while to click, but blimey, it did tonight.
Midfield_General Posted 9 September, 2025 Posted 9 September, 2025 Actually looked like a team rather than a collection of individuals. Everyone working for each other and knowing their jobs. Round pegs in round holes. And Reece James is twice the defender 'Trent' is. 2

He was involved in most of the good stuff we produced and created loads of opportunities and chances to attack.

Not having the coms keep saying Bellingham is like a Rolls Royce was good. Thought Tino was a bit ineffective but generally the team did really well and enjoyed the flair and flow of the team. I wonder if Jude is a bad influence and may not be missed 1
AlexLaw76 Posted 10 September, 2025 Author Posted 10 September, 2025 England (again) have a chance to do well, if the media and manager lose the mindset that certain players HAVE to start, regardless. Does Saka HAVE to start ahead of an in-form Madueke? Does Bellingham HAVE to start? Does Stones, when fit, HAVE to start? 1
skintsaint Posted 10 September, 2025 Posted 10 September, 2025 Only thing I want to see is Gordon dropped, think he is wank and has been for a while.

He should remember he is not the talented one and perhaps learn to act with a lot more humility. The danger is that he is given free reign to do and speak as he likes for fear of ostracising him which may lead to him impacting on Jude's club and England careers. It's not a great situation to have everyone including the England manager treading on eggshells and giving Bellingham preferential treatment.

I think in a weird way it's actually helped him that Saka, Palmer, Bellingham and Stones (and Foden?) are injured, as it's allowed him to explore different options in those positions without causing a furore about dropping 'star names' who may otherwise be considered undroppable. I don't think it's a coincidence that the team looked much more like a team without some of those. Bellingham in particular, while obviously a world class talent, sounds like he might need to have his ego kept in check. His dad certainly sounds like a whopper who is rubbing some members of the squad up the wrong way. It will be very interesting to see whether they all go straight back into the side when they're all fit, and if so, whether we look as good when they all play instead of the less starry names from last night who were apparently more able to play as a team. East Kent Saint Posted 12 September, 2025 Posted 12 September, 2025 Ipswich 3-0 up now Sheffield only one shot on target , familiar story !

OldNick Posted 13 September, 2025 Posted 13 September, 2025 Ipswich looked pretty good. Perhaps we were lucky to play them when we did. Is Ings injured as he didnt play? No doubt he will be back against us
Kenilworthy59 Posted 13 September, 2025 Posted 13 September, 2025 Ramsey has got a red card for a very poor challenge. Yet we have see worse challenges on our players not get a red card.

Saint NL Posted 13 September, 2025 Posted 13 September, 2025 Leicester 2-1 down and a man down. Boro losing as well, the top of the table is looking pretty exciting already
Pamplemousse Posted 13 September, 2025 Posted 13 September, 2025 It's a very open league this year. Ipswich started poorly but seem to have got their act together, gifted by a shocking Sheff Utd defence. Makes our point up there look more and more like a brilliant result.
skintsaint Posted 13 September, 2025 Posted 13 September, 2025 Ah log on, flick on the scores and both Leicester and Boro equalise. *switch off*.

sockeye Posted 13 September, 2025 Posted 13 September, 2025 Very glad for Boro to get a puncture after their winning start.
Oldandtired Posted 13 September, 2025 Posted 13 September, 2025 On current form, both Saints and West Ham, we could be seeing Fernandes, KWP and JWP back at Saint Mary's next season.
