Really? Why? I’ve always quite liked Forest about as similar as a club you can get, same for Derby and Leicester but I’ve never really like them for some reason

Why? The manager has had significant backing in the team and, like he has done elsewhere, is speaking / briefing out against the owner.

Yep. For me it's the Clough past, and the European Cup successes. The successful underdogs. I loved seeing them come back up - the PL needs proper clubs like Forest, Leeds, etc.

That said, I'm not a fan of how they've gone about things off the pitch. Pushed at the edges of the buying rules, and the complaint re Palace costing them a proper European place wasn't classy imo. 

Crazy sacking btw. Nuno has been brilliant there, but it seems like there wasn't room for the owners ego and Nuno. Shame.

Found an old article about Manning when he was at QPR. Seems like quite a grounded bloke and was impressing in CM at 21. Certainly an option there if ever needed when Welington is back fighting for the LB spot with Jelert.

This setup actually works for Kane though, he comes short and you have players with pace running beyond like Madueke and Gordon. Even our fullbacks are making runs behind.

Anderson looks class, a proper number 6. Could establish himself there for England for years to come.

Excellent performance, taking apart their opponents. Loads of pace around Kane, with strength and support from central midfield, versatile fullbacks and technical as well as solid central defenders. Oh, and Shouty Pickford too. Lots to like in that performance. Spence did really well when coming on too I thought.

Rogers started a little slowly but was absolute class and probably England's best player on the night. He was involved in most of the good stuff we produced and created loads of opportunities and chances to attack.

Not having the coms keep saying Bellingham is like a Rolls Royce was good. Thought Tino was a bit ineffective but generally the team did really well and enjoyed the flair and flow of the team.

I wonder if Jude is a bad influence and may not be missed

England (again) have a chance to do well, if the media and manager lose the mindset that certain players HAVE to start, regardless.

Does Saka HAVE to start ahead of an in-form Madueke? Does Bellingham HAVE to start? Does Stones, when fit, HAVE to start?

Tuchel gets a lot of credit for picking players to form a team rather than just shoehorning in names. I hope this team is the one that's picked next time if the big guns are fit. They need to play themselves into contention.

Mr Bellingham senior sounds a very egotistical, arrogant individual who thinks having two talented footballers for sons entitles him to be rude and aggressive to others. He should remember he is not the talented one and perhaps learn to act with a lot more humility. The danger is that he is given free reign to do and speak as he likes for fear of ostracising him which may lead to him impacting on Jude's club and England careers. It's not a great situation to have everyone including the England manager treading on eggshells and giving Bellingham preferential treatment.

Tuchel did say after the game that the 'camp' was not so good at the last international break. Was Jude part of that?

I think in a weird way it's actually helped him that Saka, Palmer, Bellingham and Stones (and Foden?) are injured, as it's allowed him to explore different options in those positions without causing a furore about dropping 'star names' who may otherwise be considered undroppable. 

I don't think it's a coincidence that the team looked much more like a team without some of those. Bellingham in particular, while obviously a world class talent, sounds like he might need to have his ego kept in check. His dad certainly sounds like a whopper who is rubbing some members of the squad up the wrong way. 

It will be very interesting to see whether they all go straight back into the side when they're all fit, and if so, whether we look as good when they all play instead of the less starry names from last night who were apparently more able to play as a team.

Bellingham is a cunt. Scoring a goal for a team and then declaring ‘who else?’ sets you apart as a special sort of wanker. Best mate with TAA who can also do one. Form a team not full of prima donnas

100% agree. Bellingham clearly thinks he carry’s the team and we should all be grateful.

It's a very open league this year. Ipswich started poorly but seem to have got their act together, gifted by a shocking Sheff Utd defence. Makes our point up there look more and more like a brilliant result.

When I saw you post I checked the time my sky box and thought I’d been watching the game on an hour time delay before checking other games and seeing the Ramsey you were talking about was in the Leicester game .
