Lighthouse Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Hampshire are currently batting in the Vitality Blast final, if anyone had forgotten.
Saint NL Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Fernandes must be cursing his agent, West Ham look rotten
Swaythling Saint Posted September 13 Posted September 13 What a bad move for Fernandes this might turn out to be, West Ham look dire
spyinthesky Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Poor old JWP is getting pelters from the fans. Disappointed for him as he did well for us. Re Fernandes, I wonder if we would be interested in re signing him if we went up and the Hammers were relegated
allsa001 Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Wouldn't it be great if we get promotion, and West Ham get relegated. I don't mean that against Fernandes, as I really like the chap, and do not begrudge him a move (no matter how bad it was). Just would be great to ee them go down. 1
Lighthouse Posted September 13 Posted September 13 I don't think West Ham are, or will be, one of the worst three in the league. There're enough poor teams down there to bail them out this year. 2

Don't get me wrong he was by far our best player but it's all relative. He was the best player in the second worst performing prem team in history. I'm not sure he is as good as we think he is. 6

What I have said to West Ham supporters I know is that Fernandes is a very good player, but far from the level needed to transform their team 1

He has potential to be a very good prem level player but it's not like he was getting buckets of assists and goals. He wasn't at the same level as someone like Lavia or livramento in their positions imo. 1

AlexLaw76 Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 Sunderland on 7 points after 4 games. What could have been 2
AlexLaw76 Posted Sunday at 10:27 Author Posted Sunday at 10:27 Wrexham defence wide open, but that is some finish.

East Kent Saint Posted Sunday at 14:23 Posted Sunday at 14:23 (edited) Liverpool have had 19 shots 2 on target so far , Burnley 2 shots off target struggling , glad Saints didn't stay up really, so unequal in the Prem. 80% Liverpool possession! Edited Sunday at 14:33 by East Kent Saint
saintant Posted Sunday at 14:50 Posted Sunday at 14:50 Big Les just sent off for Burnley for second yellow.
East Kent Saint Posted Sunday at 15:08 Posted Sunday at 15:08 Worse than that Liverpool get injury time penalty to win 😡

Midfield_General Posted Sunday at 18:38 Posted Sunday at 18:38 Sheffield United to re-appoint Wilder. That's embarrassing. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/sep/14/sheffield-united-to-reappoint-chris-wilder-as-manager-after-sacking-ruben-selles

They always default back to him when they realise they should have kept him. If I was Wilder I'd say thanks, but no thanks. But he probably fancies the $$$.

That's crazy, but he will improve them
saintant Posted Monday at 10:50 Posted Monday at 10:50 I see Wilcox continues to make zero difference to the ongoing demise of Man Utd. Think he talked the talk but can't walk the walk.

They have the players but they are being played in the wrong position with the wrong set up says Danny Murphy and the Manager believes in his system and won't change , sounds familiar to us Saints fans 😄 1

Come up with a philiosphy, identity call it what you want, bring in people to do it, if they screw up sack them and repeat. All the credit and power non of the responsibility. 1
Willo of Whiteley Posted Monday at 16:41 Posted Monday at 16:41 Chris Wilder back at Sheffield United. They’ll finish top four.

Any other club and he'd probably tell them where to go but he'll probably get hero status now at his favourite club whatever happens this season. Mad owners to get rid of him in the first place. Leeds stuck with Farke after we went up and they went up the next season. Sheff Utd could have done the same. Good for us I suppose.
saintant Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Boro tonight looked good value for their position at the top of the table. Strong all over the pitch and their second goal was an example of the pass and move football we should be well capable of. We need a run of wins to get back into contention. The next 5-6 games will tell us a lot about our direction of travel but maybe this is going to be a transitional season where we don't mount a challenge for the top six. Hard to guess which way it'll go for us.

Still has had the new signings all week now so let’s fuck the excuses and start getting results.

They have a new manager (hot off a relegation with a team on parachute payments), lost their many goal supplier, who was the 2nd best player....and there they are.

I guess the proof of the pudding will be after 46 games. I truly believe we will be above them, certainly top 6, hopefully top 2. Our squad is comfortably better than everyone except possibly Leicester and Ipswich. Pisses over the rest. Down to Will Still to get the players playing as a team, and I believe he will. Give the guy at least until Christmas 🎄 to get some form and continuity, see where the land lies then. COYR 🤞🤞 1
