Wouldn't it be great if we get promotion, and West Ham get relegated.

I don't mean that against Fernandes, as I really like the chap, and do not begrudge him a move (no matter how bad it was).

Just would be great to ee them go down.

I don't think West Ham are, or will be, one of the worst three in the league. There're enough poor teams down there to bail them out this year.

Anyone else think he's a little overrated ? Don't get me wrong he was by far our best player but it's all relative. He was the best player in the second worst performing prem team in history. I'm not sure he is as good as we think he is.

What I have said to West Ham supporters I know is that Fernandes is a very good player, but far from the level needed to transform their team

Yes I think that's right. He has potential to be a very good prem level player but it's not like he was getting buckets of assists and goals. He wasn't at the same level as someone like Lavia or livramento in their positions imo.

They could still be paying him under his last contract, he only lost his job a couple of months ago!

They have the players but they are being played in the wrong position with the wrong set up says Danny Murphy and the Manager believes in his system and won't change ,  sounds familiar to us Saints fans 😄

It an amazing job isnt it. Perfect job for Russell Martin. Come up with a philiosphy, identity call it what you want, bring in people to do it, if they screw up sack them and repeat. All the credit and power non of the responsibility.

He's a Blades fan which helps. Any other club and he'd probably tell them where to go but he'll probably get hero status now at his favourite club whatever happens this season. Mad owners to get rid of him in the first place. Leeds stuck with Farke after we went up and they went up the next season. Sheff Utd could have done the same. Good for us I suppose.

Boro tonight looked good value for their position at the top of the table. Strong all over the pitch and their second goal was an example of the pass and move football we should be well capable of. We need a run of wins to get back into contention. The next 5-6 games will tell us a lot about our direction of travel but maybe this is going to be a transitional season where we don't mount a challenge for the top six. Hard to guess which way it'll go for us.

Yes, we will learn a lot in the next couple of games if we can mount a play off  challenge. So far you have to say we are no where near the level required.

They have a new manager (hot off a relegation with a team on parachute payments), lost their many goal supplier, who was the 2nd best player....and there they are.

I guess the proof of the pudding will be after 46 games. I truly believe we will be above them, certainly top 6, hopefully top 2. 
Our squad is comfortably better than everyone except possibly Leicester and Ipswich. Pisses over the rest. Down to Will Still to get the players playing as a team, and I believe he will. 
Give the guy at least until Christmas 🎄 to get some form and continuity, see where the land lies then. COYR 🤞🤞

West Ham also look poor, surely Fernandes couldn't get relegated again. Two relegations at the age of 22 would have to be a record 😂

They were utter crap early last season but got away with it again. They remind me of Everton a few years ago, never seem to flush.

That being said, the promoted three are actually holding their own collectively this year. All that hot air about the divisional gap getting too wide just seems like a cope now.
