Pamplemousse Posted 13 August, 2025 Posted 13 August, 2025 Takes place around 7.20pm Ball numbers: South Section 1 AFC Bournemouth 2 AFC Wimbledon 3 Brentford 4 Brighton & Hove Albion 5 Bristol City 6 Bromley 7 Cambridge United 8 Cardiff City 9 Charlton Athletic 10 Coventry City 11 Fulham 12 Millwall 13 Norwich City 14 Oxford United 15 Plymouth Argyle 16 Reading 17 Southampton 18 Swansea City 19 West Ham United 20 Wolverhampton Wanderers 21 Wycombe Wanderers 22 Cheltenham Town or Exeter City
Eric The Red Posted 13 August, 2025 Posted 13 August, 2025 EFL seem to have screwed over it's Southern teams here. Only 22 teams in the South compared to 24 in the North and we have 6 established PL teams whilst the North has 5 including all the newly promoted ones. So definitely more scope for a winnable fixture for an EFL team if you're in the Northern pot
Saint Garrett Posted 13 August, 2025 Posted 13 August, 2025 Bromley, Wimbledon, Cheltenham/Exeter for me... All possible new grounds...good fun last night going to Northampton.
trousers Posted 13 August, 2025 Posted 13 August, 2025 This has got Millwall or Swansea away written all over it...
Pamplemousse Posted 13 August, 2025 Author Posted 13 August, 2025 Bromley or Wimbledon away would be my first choices immediately

SW11_Saint Posted 13 August, 2025 Posted 13 August, 2025 Must be the most northernmost club in the ‘South section’…😫
Lighthouse Posted 13 August, 2025 Posted 13 August, 2025 Couple of all PL draws in that, also a couple of PL teams against strong Championship sides, which is always good for progression chances. I’m indifferent to our draw.
SNSUN Posted 13 August, 2025 Posted 13 August, 2025 (edited) Ah another Nor fixture. And another spousal rivalry to to push my already animosity-filled marriage to the limits. Bloody Norwich. Even my daughter favours them over Saints. I'm hoping our new arcade and mini golf course will sway her. Edited 13 August, 2025 by SNSUN 3
Pamplemousse Posted 13 August, 2025 Author Posted 13 August, 2025 Probably the worst possible tie we could've got 2 1

Pretty sure people are referring to the journey needed to get there and back in midweek, rather than the standard of opposition. Maybe more winnable of course, although PL teams often put out their weaker teams. 1

die Mannyschaft Posted 13 August, 2025 Posted 13 August, 2025 Was looking for Reading or Bromley but have to play a big team ar some stage. Probably worst team we could draw, long trip etc. Its winnable, do we get a big allocation? Maybe only chance for fans not on 10 -4 aways to get a ticket. never many officials coaches though always sold out early on.

stevegrant Posted 14 August, 2025 Posted 14 August, 2025 Last train out of Norwich after the game is at 2202 which gets back into London Liverpool Street at 2357. If the game went to penalties, you'd probably have a little bit of a jog required to make that train...

Wilf Posted 14 August, 2025 Posted 14 August, 2025 If you swam across the river from Carrow Road, you'd have to swim back again to get to the station!

Out of the ground at 9:45, into the station at 9:55 with 7 minutes to get food and drink for the train. Job done.

DJ_TOAST Posted 23 August, 2025 Posted 23 August, 2025 2 tickets going spare if anybody needs (2 in our group dropped out), I'm sure everyone has one as they went to general sale. Lighthouse Posted 24 August, 2025 Posted 24 August, 2025 Surely this has to be a full strength team as they desperately need to figure out how to play together. I'd give McC a game just for match sharpness and rest R Job because of his age but otherwise, full strength. McC Maddy THB Stephens Manning Downes Charles AA MF Fraser Stewart 3
