The wide receivers getting high balls into the penalty zone for Downs to apply offensive pressure on the goal tender should lead to conversion chances. He’s one of the best Goal Convertors in North America so just wait until match day 1, let’s go Damian Downs! ‘Hey, I scored a touchdown!’ ’No Damian, that’s handball and a yellow card’ 2
pimpin4rizeal Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Tbh the fan base didn’t give him hardly much of a chance before getting right on his back, which probably didn’t help things .. I did like his off the shoulder runs think we need to try get his confidence up as it looked shot 3

He sure as hell will not be doing that in the Championship. Perhaps Eastleigh or Sholing could take him on loan? 3
Challenger Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Every time I see a new post on this thread it gets my hopes up. Every time I read that post, I'm disappointed. 4

die Mannyschaft Posted July 19 Posted July 19 I was singing. If Damian misses someone else will score.
bpsaint Posted July 19 Posted July 19 He ran around a lot. I think that’s all I can really say about his performance last night.

Like Double Diamond it’s back to be able to buy https://www.facebook.com/sixties.timemachine/posts/who-remembers-watneys-party-seven/2003693479684950/ Going by footage of the Dell in the 1960s and early 1970s, their name came seem on the East Stand roof and hoardings. Probably what was on sale. In part, the Watneys product Red Barrel was allegedly so fizzy, cloying and generally terrible it led to formation of CAMRA. Edited July 19 by Gloucester Saint 1

Sadly more of a spectator sport for me these days although I have just treated myself to a can of Murphys and I may well open a bottle of Fleurie that we brought back from the vineyard four years ago. But alcohol does not play a large part in my life. 1
beatlesaint Posted July 19 Posted July 19 I’m not sure he’ll make it as a footballer in England as long as he’s got a hole in his arse. If someone reposts this at the end of the season when he’s scored 15 goals I’ll be more than happy to be proved wrong.

Challenger Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Not as good a goal as last pre season, but a lot better than all those since.
Tommy Mulgrew Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago It might well work as a catchy phrase, as I recall from the dim and distant past: “Damion Downs works wonders”. Or maybe not.

No, they don't as they only have 2 friendlies left. There is one behind closed doors friendly this week and then the final friendly vs SC Preußen Münster next weekend. The same experts that had seen enough 6 months ago and sent him out on loan. His involvement in pre season is likely 2 things 1) SR wanting him to be given another chance because they don’t want to lose their money 2) Our lack of options up front until Larin returns and possibly Stewart re signing. I expect him to be playing for somebody else by the time the window shuts, probably on loan again. Also just realised this is a kit thread Edited 8 hours ago by RedArmy

Spot on Damion Downs. No nonsense That’s more than enough for now.
sadoldgit Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The lad is certainly a bit of an enigma. Someone at the club clearly thought that it was worth splashing out £7m on him. Pochettino has said a lot of complimentary things about him. Capped 6 times at full international level. Although the words “cow’s arse” and “banjo” usually spring to mind when he plays he has taken the two goals he has scored for us in friendlies like a proper striker. He could go out on loan again but if Tonda is some kind of footballer whisperer perhaps he should hang around and see what the coaching team can do for him here? We are allowed to play some over aged players in the U21’s aren’t we?

Seem to remember Party 7s being hurled as weapons at Bradford in the 1976 Quarter Final, they were like sodding depth charges off a WW2 destroyer.
