It feels like the old days of us being under Adkins, buying the best players in the league we're in in common sense positions. This guy, Roesrlev and Fellows are no brainer/top of the tree style signings for us.

Totally. The first two 'project' signings (Quarshie and Downs) understandably led to questions as to whether the club had learned from past mistakes, but the last 24 hours has laid that fear to rest somewhat (assuming we get all the linked players over the line of course). We could be heading for at least a 6/10 window here.... ;)

Football fans are weird. He's come to a club who has just been relegated with aspirations to get promoted again, he leaves Boro who just swim around in mid-table also rans, and they're digging him out because he said he's happy to prove himself at a club operating at a PL level.

And yes bitter comments from Boro fans which is always a good sign we have a player they didn't want to lose. Same for Baggies and Fellows. Good work. Signing the better Championship players is what a team that just got relegated should be doing. Now get Fellows and Jander in, then Scienza or another left winger and sprinkle it with a loan or two and we're looking I great shape. Sure we still have Baz as number 1 but I feel that was always going to be the case this season. 

Get a few out, Will, Joe, Ben, Sam, and the squad looks healthy.

And there's always the January window.

I'm optimistic he'll be able to make the step up as his game seems to be based on technique and vision which are arguably more valuable in the Prem. Feel like he might need to up his physicality to cope though, but confident the new regime is not gonna let anyone slack off in that department.

If available, I just hope he starts. We seem to have this weird habit at SFC of putting new signings on the bench. He has been playing for Boro, so hopefully Will puts him in right away from the start.

My Boro mate just messaged, he seems to be in the minority but thinks it's a good deal for them. Says he has patches where he's unstoppable and then other periods where he's anonymous, good through balls but needs a rocket under him sometimes

Not being funny, but if my mate text me to ask how a player is that they’ve just signed, I’d reply and say he’s fucking terrible, even if it was Ronaldo.
