Absolutely this. I’ve been watching him closely at games and he seems frightened to take players on or lose the ball. Consequently he often checks inside and plays the easy ball. Maybe it’s his confidence but it slows our play down.

watched him last nite and unfortunately hes a bit of a damp squip.hr has two actions going down line but passing back when he cant beat the fullback and cutting inside where there are too many players in his way.He needs to rethink what he does or be replaced

Surprised the level of criticism for Fellows here, although it does seem fashionable to highlight him.

His shooting has been poor, now a confidence issue, but for me he seems to have exceptional close ball control - possibly second only to Scienza- and can deliver a decent cross. We’re a better team with him in it when he’s firing in my view. 

We pissed him about a bit early season as a WB. Had he started the season with a Larin or fit Stewart he’d have had a few assist credits to his name. 
 

He’ll come good.

Last season he was a bit prone to playing blind passes inside when under pressure.

He has looked poor for quite a long time now and also without one goal or even looking like scoring. … Fellows needs to have a loan or few months in the stiffs to develop his game more. Certainly he needs a rethink…

His finishing is pretty poor but it always has been.  We brought him in for assists and he did an OK job last season with that despite playing a fair chunk at RWB.  Thought he put a few decent crosses in today as well and if Larin (or someone better than BBD) was on the pitch then it would be a different story.  Most of the time he's playing as an inside forward though and not hugging the touchline and that's not his position.  He's a winger who gets dangerous crosses in so play him that way, none of this cutting inside bollocks, just let him concentrate on what he's good at.

Good player in there still only 23, just lacking a bit of consistency and composure right now which will come from confidence and a bit more experience. I think he’ll have a better season

Agreed. We need to persist with him. If Edozie is going woukd be good to get another winger who could operate on either side to have another option though.

it generally takes two opposition players to cover his threat and he still manages to cause problems and create chances. My take is that I'd prefer him playing for us than facing him in the opposition team.

Yeah the will still weird hybrid full back role didn’t help with us playing a dwarf Armstrong up front. Also remember a few games where he was playing well and subbed off early, like Sheffield United away he was probably our best player but came off at half time, bizarrely. I like him

I like Fellows too, will be a great player. Plenty of assists to be had and I'm sure he'll pop up with the odd goal which will boost his confidence no end.

Exactly this. Fellows is a good player. Once he gets that first goal it will give him a boost.
