Unbelievably bad, and possibly the craziest thing is we've probably sold out for every one of those away days , remarkable

I'm going on the Midnite Express coach. Last season went to Everton,  West Ham and Chelsea so due for a win!!

Yeah fair point.

But considering we had months to prepare, and Still was in place for a while, I still maintain that we are ridiculously underprepared for the season. It’s like it’s all come as a massive surprise to the club that the championship is a physical, fast paced league.

I’m just fucking bored of new managers coming in and making the exact same mistakes over and over again. I think it’s fucking poor that the fans all see the main issues and the club doesn’t.

Athletes. A Striker. A Goalkeeper. A vocal leader in the spine of the team. 99% of us have called these issues and we go and spend a fortune on a load of wingers.

It’s such a fucking chore supporting this club at the moment.

You’ve not been a saints fan for long, have you? 😂

Unfortunately a Chris Wilder Sheffield United is going to be a tougher proposition than the league table suggests. Nonetheless, I do think we can win this. Last couple of games we have shown improvement and I’m hoping tonight is the night it all clicks at both ends.

I’ve been to Sheffield United away a number of times and only seen us lose the once (league cup QF 2014). I’m going tonight and also to Derby on Saturday. Let’s hope away wins are like London buses…

P.S. Danny Ings is nailed on to score isn’t he, it’s just what we do.

I have dropped the ball on this one as I have not paid attention to united this season so far as I knew under Selles they would be awful. So, my question is, are they that bad in reality or will they be much better under Wilder? Will they be promotion contenders or did they lose a lot of their best players during the summer? Do they have a good team? I really have no idea what to expect from them and just how good they may be?

I saw there was some free travel laid on but only one or two luxury coaches paid for by sponsors Midnite,  hopefully they lay on some champagne and strippers to pass the time going up the M1 , let us know who the Saints legend is

One positive is that they'll likely take the game to us, which, in theory, should suit how still wants to play.

I'd go as far as saying this is a must win if we hold any hope of the auto's - which are quickly becoming out of reach.

Wilder is to streetwise to give us space like that, he's good at grinding out 1-0 wins when needed, I'd say 0-0 is a likely scoreline

I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if this luxury coach was really for transporting staff/players complimentaries but like Hull the staff freebies aren’t so popular for the northern trips and so filling it with a “limited number” of lucky fans.

Wonder if they’ll be a block of 80-100 empty seats in a prime spot tonight like last time. Hull sold out 3 weeks in advance, fans couldn’t buy tickets so those that missed out must have been understandably narked to see the empties on TV.

Did the Prediction Wheel, can't link it. Prediction was a 2 goal win for Sheff United. Big Whoop.

Need to win soon, draws aren't getting us anywhere fast. Big couple of games for Will.

Would probably bring in Roerslev for this one in the role of front sweeper, stopping all Sheff Utd attacks before they reach our CBs:

-------------Macca----------

-Edwards-----Wood----Quarshie

《《《《《《《《《《《Roerslev》》》》》》》》》》》

Fellow--Charles-Jander-Manning

---------Arma-----LND--------

If they’ve got a strong right winger or wing back then I’d leave Manning on the bench - he’s useless at closing down his man. Otherwise leave the side alone…they’re starting to gain some traction. Do this and we could get a win.

What will likely happen though is Still will cave and allow Cap’n Jack, THB and Downes back in on the pretence of resting players, which we all know translates to keeping the squad placated and happy. It also would mean the odds improve on a Utd win.

Be tempted to bring in Jelert at LWB. I’d stick with Ross Stewart up front.
Macca, Jelert, Quarshie, Wood, Edwards, Jander, Charles, Fellows, Azaz, Armstrong, Stewart.

Can't see Will outcoaching Wilder. Or any other manager with experience. 2-0 feels right. And Ings to score or assist for the bet builder.

Is this on Sky? I've read it is but can't find it on the Sky app at all.

Sky have all the games on the Sports + but think I saw that you cannot access via Sky Go app which is a bit shit in this day and age

I struggle to see where our goals will come from judging by how we've lined up so far.  Fellows will get crosses in but we've no big forward to convert them - we scored from his deflected cross on Saturday but that was the exception rather than the rule. To me chance creation and scoring goals is a massive problem and I'm not sure how Will Still addresses it with the players at his disposal.

I think it's a valid point, Will Still is very inexperienced so only one way to learn , assume Trollope is part of the set up to add the experience

You should be able to get it via the separate Sky Sports app I think.

Offf the wall idea I know but why not give THB a go at centre forward. He seems to have lost the plot in defence but he’s big and strong and has headed a couple of goals. He wouldn’t be worse than the other CF options would he???

I would have stuck Aribo up there by now. Holds it up, brings others into play.

And lightning pace*

The players at his disposal are the two top assisters in the Championship from last season and others who have scored 20+ a season at this level. No reason this squad shouldn’t be competing for promotion.

2-0 saints. Downs to come on and net a double, one a towering header and another bulldozing run, outmuscling the defence before blasting home. Prompting the following headline in the papers the next days;

”Downs downs blades”

We've scored 8 goals in 7 games which kind of proves my point.

Yeah, I'll be absolutely furious if all the calamity players like Stephens and THB come back in.
