But we haven’t have we. They are badly managed. At this level we should be top 6. Why do we always take so long to make a change, or a few games. Please get someone with a proven record as a manager at this level and someone who can fire them up!

But we have haven’t we, they’re all shite! Name me a decent player in this side. Scienza is proving to be a handful at the moment but no-one else offers anything to shout about. Blame the management as much as you like, i do too, but he’s working with absolute dross.

it absolutely breaks my heart to see how bad we have become. It's embarrassing, depressing and criminal how much the owners have let us down, the managers employed have been so inept and the players completely spineless.

We are broken at all levels. League 1 is a distinct possibility.

Players who have failed before and continue to fail again, their failure is clearly rubbing off on the new ones brought in.
A manager who cannot get a tune from said players.

A board who seem incapable of making the right calls when signing players and managers. Destroying the benefits of any better financial position we have.

It's just desperate stuff.

I'm starting to zero in on the coaching set up being the problem. Not just the manager, but the entire group. SR throw money at players, some of them mediocre picks to begin with, but there have been good buys on paper. But we continuously ruin players who come to us with pedigree. You can't build a five-star hotel on quicksand.

I heard this about Russell as well... Maybe not from you, mind.

I can't see how Still got this job after an interview. He seems like the kind of bloke who couldn't get up for his own wedding day.

Definitely didn't hear that from me, before we even got promoted under Martin I was telling people if he stayed in charge we'd come straight back down with the record lowest points total. I got slated for saying that then, too, which is why I'm happy to stand by my opinion of Will Still now despite what everyone else is saying.

He likely will end up getting sacked, but I'll make this prediction now if he does - he'll manage in the premier league before we play in it.

Look we get it. You made a point of being pretty much the only poster to back him, and despite being proved horribly wrong you don’t want to change your opinion so quickly.

But the second part of that statement is fucking incredible 😂

Get this fucking geeky cunt out of our club, he hasn’t got a fucking clue and is the most negative manager I’ve ever seen at saints, which is some achievement. Makes Branfoot look like Kevin fucking Keegan. Im fucking livid

And I’ll tell you, honestly. I will love it if we sack him tonight, LOVE IT.

The crowd need to walk. It's the only way the club will get the message. Preston are another fucking dreadful team who are making us look like cunts! We are so bad we'd be out of our depth in the national league! How that goal got bundled through is just a fucking embarassment, on top of our complete lack of ability to play any sort of cohesive football. I'm running out of words to descrbe us, absolute fucking disgrace!!

Was there any sort of protest before the match? Because there fucking needs to be!!

we might sack him but there are too many hipster lightweight managers now that talk shit and do what we have seen for years now. We need good old mgr who knows football

At the match. Crap.

Hope there’s been constant hostile chants from the first minute aimed at Still and SR after that pathetic apology of a line up and formation. This is not the not the time for the fanbase to be compliant.

Well let's hope we never find out whether I was right or wrong - because that would mean he turns things round and goes up with us instead.

Did you not see his five minute presentation on Monday Night Football?

It was inspiring stuff

We will be genuine relegation candidates if he stays.

The guy doesn’t have a fucking clue

We are already relegation candidates and it will soon be too late to turn it around, certainly not with this clown in charge

It's the culture of being permissive towards failure, that's what I blame. There are some old hands in the squad who have been here throughout and been rewarded for it. McCarthy, Stephens, i'm looking at you two.

We need to get those dregs out. Not give them bumper new contracts.

Snooze on the sofa was nice.

How's the game? Presumably we're cruising and a couple of goals up?

Today's the day it 'all clicks', right?

Garbage, most of our possession is defenders passing it around. Go 4-4-2 and take Edwards off, Fellows right wing and Scienza on the left, Azaz and Armstrong. Go for it.

Two old fellas in front of me clapped the side off. Fuck me. Had to bite my tongue. Not sure I can last another 45 without exploding. Here we go....

At least Sports Republics main project Goztepe have moved back into the top 4 with a win today.

MLG will be all over that, as if it’s some benchmark that the whole ownership process is working, whilst at the same time we contemplate dropping into league one. Yeah righto pal,

I can’t see him surviving too long, but he is only the face of much deeper laying issues

Very loud and clear chant of "sports Republic get out of our club"

Fair enough mate, I hope he can repay your faith but he looks rudderless

The last time we looked this broken, even against shite teams, it was the Wotte era.

It's that bad.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to a game and I’m not enjoying the experience much. Still is making the same mistakes as his predecessors. The team is playing in the same manner as it did under three previous managers. And to cap it all the Northam have turned sour before the games over booing and jeering - I don’t blame them in a way but it’s indicative of how broken this club is. Horrible.

Need Still to fucking ditch whatever is making him play 5 at the back. and as I type this Edward’s is off.

Get THB off. He's fucking shit.

Wing backs must attack or they might as well be full backs. They offer us nothing.

Jander is a ghost. Aziz similar. Downes at least is busy.

It's as bad as I've seen for a long time.

Get Robinson and Fellows on. I wouldn't say no to Aribo too.

Horrible.

Nail on the head and I've been saying it. We have not a single wing back worthy of the name at the club. It is a very specialist position and you need to be fast and fit as fuck to play it correctly. The very idea of 3 centre backs is to get your wing backs bombing on either side. If they can't, won't or are just incapable of doing so it renders 3 centre backs pointless and leaves us with zero threat going forward and too many bodies at the back to fuck up and pass the ball slowly amongst themselves. It is a recipe for disaster but Will Still can't see it. Bonkers!!!!

3 CBs just doesn't work for us because against the ball we always have 1 man standing around marking space on the edge of our box, so we're outnumbered in midfield. It can be different and better, but not the way we do it.

Agreed about the coaching.

We make every single player worse.

The shit system is a big part of that, but the coaching has to be terrible too

Aside from a brief bubble under Hassenhutl, it's been like that for the last 8 years. We are in a tailspin.

That's definitely the other half of it. The losers of yesteryear are now the core of the team. Failure just means you become part of the furniture. Being relegated, finishing bottom, losing games every week, it breaks their psyche. There's definitely a culture of failure in the club. But SR either don't notice it or don't care - they just perpetuate the same names.

Southampton - the graveyard of ambition. Good job there’s direct trains to London Waterloo.

Blackmore just implied again that Still is being made to play 5 at the back... Does he know something? Saying that, "if you're going to get sacked, might as well go down fighting your own way"...

Look. I'm 52, bald, 5'6", in my pyjama bottoms and Saints shirt. Raining, cold and windy outside. Eating a leftover burrito.

And I have probably more chance of scoring today...
