New chant material ideas.

Part of the reason I think for the flat atmosphere is a song book that’s limited to a few known chants and wasted on players who are on the bench…(Oriel chants for example)

 

So what have people got to try and create some new material. 
 

I’ve had a go at altering Dirty Old Town by the Pogues while driving along this morning. 
 

Ships’ fog horns in the evening air,  
Saints rolling out with a southern flair,  
Red and white pride running through this land,

We sing our songs by the Solent shore,

The football is utter crap, its boring wstching Saints and not entertaining. Everywhere you look there are opportunities to get more money frkm fans, tickets expensive and food and drink extortionate. Now reverting to what was seen as crap football is even more crap.  Plus we have a team that costs so much that all teams just want to shorten can beat us.

you can expect fans jn family centre to jump up and down,  swear at awsy and and wind them up. Moving the away fans was a mistake bug also giving them such a large allocation is thd problem

Fans are sat down checking scores kn mobile, e mails, probably on line shopping as nothing interesting to watch on the pitch.

True, but a lot more Champ games are televised than used to be the case so chances of the cameras picking it up if we do it on a weekly basis would get onto the round ups and build up pressure. His ego would hate it either way.

Not doubting it could be effective, but I don’t see the appetite or enthusiasm for this among the current ‘match going public’ as opposed to the supporters- of our generation- yesteryear.

The car park after Port Vale was quite an experience. If the club didn’t realise before it became apparent that the protests weren’t just a few hot-heads, yobs, and youths but many middle- aged, and grey headed old cunts alike were there ( a category I now subscribe to I’m afraid).

Sold out away allocation after sold out away allocation - all over the country, including last season. Home attendances routinely within 10% of capacity. 

People have spent a LOT of their hard-earned supporting the Sport Republic circus - and I absolutely understand a lack of desire to cheer for it, because I'm there too.

It's not even like vocal support really dropped off until a few games ago. Which, again, is totally reasonable.

I really like powerfully visual protests which the Board can’t write off as being a “mob minority”.

My favourite is everybody getting in the ground 15 minutes late.

Sheff Wed fans did this brilliantly earlier this season.

However a large section of our fans are more concerned about drinking in the Sport Republic gulags and singing Scouser songs, so the chance of mobilising them into a co-ordinated protest such as this are virtually nil.
