I'm never sure about these sort of games, not a testimonial as such but will be a good reminder of some of the players we got to see in recent history.

First players to be involved now announced,  who else are we hoping to see?

Looking forward to seeing Neil Heaney and Patrick Colletier again

I heard Tadanari Lee had been invited, but may be a bit too quick thinking for some of the others involved.

Can they play now instead?

Why am I laughing... they were better than anyone we have now.  Surely close enough

for MLT to come and play for 45 mins.  To think he was only paid £2500 /week in those days.

That's criminal, when you consider the money squandered on mediocre types nowadays.

Any idea how ticket sales are going for this? Blocks available seem to be a bit random, no idea if the greyed out ones in-between available blocks are sold out or not open

Ground will be about half full i reckon, maybe bit less 13-15k at a guess.

Chapel hasn't been opened.

Itchen Centre blocks sold to Saints fans and middle blocks of  Northam.

Centre blocks of Kingsland say "Man Utd End" if you select one of those seats, not sure if people realise that.

None of the corners have been on sale.

Have they actually confirmed the two teams that will be playing? I've seen a few names added here and there but not one list?

I've not seen any full line ups anywhere... As you say, they've only trickle fed news of players taking part... Feels to me like they've underbaked the publicity on this match somewhat... The list of players they've announced so far is actually quite impressive, so it's a tad odd that they've not published full squad lists yet (nor a programme / timetable of the day's events, AFAIK) in order to tempt more fans to come along.

Tommy Fourpast!
Did he actually make a fist team appearance for us?

I don't think so, perhaps pre season, must have asked every other keeper in our history and got turned down before asking him

Legends is pushing it a bit with more than a few of them 😂 a nice occasion though I’m sure. What’s happened to Jose though?

He's still a registered player (with Casa Pia) so I guess that ruled him out?

Looking forward to Forecast making his debut, long time coming.

Amazing when you think he was pretty much a £20m player due to him being a big part of Levy’s buying out of the 25% sell on clause we had on Bale, at a time when we’re in the shoite financially. Seems we had the same negotiating team for the Carrillo from Monaco deal.

Maybe, thought they’d have known that back in January when they announced him though.

Ah, yes... I'd forgotten they'd already announced him... as recently as 27th Feb in fact... I guess he/they assumed his club would be OK to release him for this match... They are scheduled to play Benfica next week though...

Does seem odd to have announced that, organising these things must be a nightmare logistically, we don't need him anyway with Jos the Boss

Tommy Forecast... 😂

Forecast has to be an early April fools surely? There is no way even this tinpot club would think that’s acceptable? Also that dumb kitman?? Embarrassing from the club this and total disrespect to FA cup winning players. They always find a way to ruin things.

Embarrassing rubbish, who came up with this idea ? clearly not a regular football fan, scrapping the barrel on a cup won 50 years ago. The lines ups are a total joke and insulting to the 1976 win

A shameful farce
