F) others teams know there are always  huge gaps between our 3 CBs and our 2 wing backs in this wonderful system we’re playing

Exactly…the other side, Fellows is routinely caught out like this, but we all know he is never ever a wing back

And he changed things at half time when they were getting overrun unlike managers we have

Yep, saw a fan film of the game from upper of Celtic areas and exactly what happened.

I feel sorry for Fellows as it's not his role, he's wasted having to run back all the time.

But Manning, well, you can't say any more than has already been said! He's bad in a 4, even worse as a wing back as part of a 3.

He's not quick, not strong, he panics under pressure, he can't mark, he doesn't sense danger. But he can pass with his left foot. You could wrap that description up and apply it to quite a few of our players tbf.

Plus the one injured and on loan at Millwall, another RoI chocolate fireguard.

He is the defender that does not defend. The perfect accompaniment to the goalkeeper that doesn’t make saves. Jesus Christ how has it come to this!? I find it genuinely astonishing.

Throw in our strikers that don’t score and you have a true recipe for success

It was the second goal where the ball was played long into no-mannings-land and then Baz failed to stop a shot in the middle of the goal.

No-manning-land !. That made me lol - brilliant (and sadly very true), I’m definitely using that one in future

A wing back who will not try to go past an opponent, but instead plays the ball backwards. As for his defensive duties, I can only assume that he believes the Covid pandemic is still in full swing as he seems to hold to the instructions to stay at least 2 metres apart.

Is he the worst left back we've had?

Don't get me wrong we've had some shit ones but he is just lazy, wasteful, has terrible awareness, positioning is awful, can't tackle and can't head the ball as he constantly makes a back for attackers.

Thoughts?

Yep. Worst I can think of. Utterly useless defender. Might as well put a blancmange out there in a number 3 shirt - would probably block more crosses.

Absolutely the worst LB to have pulled on the shirt.

Didn’t watch todays game as frankly Stroud market, the shops and Tesco held far more appeal, but in recent displays he’s slipped behind Lee Todd (such a smaller sample size of games) and incredibly behind Olivier Bernard which I didn’t think was possible.

SR has produced at least two starters for most people’s worst ever Saints XI - Manning and Bazunu. Nathan Wood is on the bench for it as well.

Did Gavin start for Stoke?

The amount of goals against us that he has played a part in is an absolute joke, yet some how he gets picked week in week out. He’s absolute dogshit, and always has been for us.

How far we have fallen since the heady days of Luke Shaw and Ryan Bertrand.

Derek Statham, Mark Dennis, David Peach. The worst ever Saints XI will be stacked full of SR’s Dog & Duck duds within a couple of seasons.

A certain bloke who ended up at Real Madrid as well.

Remember this plank tripping over the ball to gift Norwich a goal in the 4-4 draw early in Martin season and it’s never really got any better from there bar a couple of nice free kicks. The bloke is supposed to be a DEFENDER ffs. I genuinely cannot recall him ever successfully tackling a winger baring down on him or even attempting to. Just backs off, ‘jockeys’ and allows the cross to come in. An absolute fraud of a defender, how the fuck he’s managed to have a career supposedly being one is just totally mind blowing.

How bad is wellington in training if he never really gets a look in for meaningful games?

Another stroke of genius signing when we were a premier league club, can’t even get a game in the league below when Ryan manning is his competition. Embarrassingly bad. But then we all Knew Wellington would be absolute crap and completely not what we needed

I've never rated Wellington myself, I think he's been another shite pickup by our esteemed scouts.

I remember the fans at Sao Paulo pulling him apart before he left them. We love picking up everyone else's crap.

Exactly. I mean fancy thinking that some random Brazilian guy plucked from obscurity and mediocrity even over there, was going to come in and be able to adapt to the demands of the premier league and English football in general. Yet another clever bollocks signing with zero substance or realism about it. It was obvious he wouldn’t be up to it physically for a start. Pathetic signing to add to the never ending list. Who the fuck in our position signs players like this?

That lazy manning pass sums up everything about him.

Loose, lazy, ill disciplined, careless, and most importantly couldn’t give a shit, lacks discipline and is another who thinks he’s a lot better than he is. An absolute prick

Probably also why we signed that absolutely dreadful Danish powderpuff midfielder Groenbak last season too. Even for these clowns, that signing beggared belief. Fucking embarrassing
