What's the quality like do they look alright in person? Also sizing wise I'm usually a medium should I go for large ? Thank you lads My mediums are medium through DH Gate. I have also used Soccer Jersey as a supplier.

It's difficult to know as we've had so many kit suppliers over the years, but I have a few older Larges and the DHGate ones match up to the Mediums that I have (Adidas, Under Armour, Umbro). And yes, I'm definitely getting fatter, but do still fit the geniune Larges lol 1

I'm a medium in all my clothing so I ordered a medium and a large to hedge my bets as they were so cheap. The medium was a relatively snug fitting medium (without being tight) and the large was like an easy fitting medium. Quality was really good but the store I got mine from (zhuyaoSoccer Jerseys2003) doesn't have any Saints kits this year as far as I can see.
jamesfp1 Posted yesterday at 09:18 Posted yesterday at 09:18 Our we the first club to not release an away kit before their first match?

They seem to get released at two week intervals on a Thursday, so expect the away kit in a couple of days. A dark blue away kit isn’t going to be used for a trip to Colchester anyway.

St Louis Posted yesterday at 13:13 Posted yesterday at 13:13 Given that this is the new 'Away' Goalkeeper shirt, surely we couldnt have the outfield players also wearing a blue swirly patterned shirt at the same time? I thought the outfield shirts had to be quite opposite to what the keeper wears? https://store.southamptonfc.com/kit/goalkeeper-kit/adults/4440_away-gk-shirt-2627-adult.html

The rumoured away shirt would be the worst shirt we‘ve ever had. 1

You’d think that things like this have been in prep for the best part of a season prior to release date. If the club really did shit the bed then how quickly can they come up with a new design, get approvals from Puma and proceed with mass production?

Why would the club care enough about the design of a second shirt? It will be released this week I'm sure.
Willo of Whiteley Posted yesterday at 17:13 Posted yesterday at 17:13 Surely the premise is to make money, yes every team needs a second kit but make it desirable enough that people will want it. 1

Sure but they aren't going to care about that enough at this point to scrap it.

A few of our iconic kits were hated when first released but you still see them now with retro re-makes. Blue flame admiral, Dimplex Pony, i recall people hated the pink kit a couple of years ago but that ended up being a big seller so you never know. 1

Not convinced by the navy shorts but am aware some on here have an appetite for the change. Aways - yellow and blue is smart ( but done to death in my view). The Keegan era navy/sky is the proverbial dogs bollocks though. As ever some better designs by fans than Puma and the club come up with

The Dimplex Pony strip scores on the nostalgia front due to the MLT performances in it
St Chalet Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago In the 80's our away kits were almost all blue. That said, I do think there is something to be said for a yellow away kit. Last year's cup shirt was the best in a generation.
Eire Saint Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago (edited) Our first competitive away game of the season is in 4 days and we don't have an away kit yet. If it's blue we wouldn't be wearing it against Colchester, but strange for us to be leaving the launch so late. Still have my nineties blue flame away kit. Must've shrunk over the years though, it doesn't fit me as well as it used to! Got to be the reason. Edited 20 hours ago by Eire Saint

TheAlehouseBrawlers Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Don’t dislike it, part sash/part stripes but does it have the red panel on the back? Anyways, don’t recognise him, new signing?
Football Special Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Why have different kits for mens and women's team? If all one club should wear the same kit, I dont think they will make that much extra income from it 1

Willo of Whiteley Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago 14 minutes ago, LordHester said: Swap the colours for light and dark blue, and it'd make a decent away kit. Agreed. I dont play video games much nowadays but FC a couple of years back made a mode where you can create your own team, kit, badges etc. You can make some really smart kits on there with slightly different contrasts: light blue and dark blue, light green and dark green, orange and yellow etc. Put’s some of these manufacturers to shame.
Sunglasses Ron Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago 43 minutes ago, Football Special said: Why have different kits for mens and women's team? Some people that don't like / want the new men's shirt may buy this instead. Interestingly, I called for a kit like this a while back, only with it being a combination of the sash with vertical stripes around it.

It's decent, giving South American vibes. But yes, swap it out for blues for an away kit, would look sweet. Edited 7 hours ago by JohnnyShearer2.0 3
