Their form over the last six games is bettered only by ours. I don't expect a comfortable Millwall win.

Ok ignore me. Millwall 2-0 after 17 mins and cruising it seems.

Millwall are going to be hard to catch looking at their fixtures,  4th place would still be great for us considering where we were a few weeks ago

Exactly, Tonda and the team have done incredibly for us even to be mentioning the possibility of automatics!

Even the playoffs were more of a distant dream than realistic prospect when he took over.

We really could have done with Leicester/Oxford results going better, to keep their games vs millwall meaningful.

Or maybe they will have the opposite effect. If the pressure is off because they are already relegated, they could spring a surprise on Millwall.

I distinctly remember us going to Derby in the early 90s after they had already been relegated and losing 6-2!

Only one more point needed to confirm a playoff place. It's mad that as recently as two weeks ago we were a point outside and still not certain of even breaking into the top 6, let alone staying there.

I do have a conundrum though. A few weeks ago (can't remember after which game) I stuck a cheeky £4 on us to finish in the top two at 150/1. That's now shortened to 9/2 on Bet365 and they are offering me £75 cash out right now.

So.... Deal or no deal?

Tough to see how we will finish above Millwall, let alone Ipswich.

Main thing for me is to ensure we finish either 3rd or 4th and get the second leg at home.

Stoke are a very poor side at the moment. Oxford tough to beat at home, that's our only hope I think as Leicester are a complete shambles.

Stoke can be a difficult team to play against at their place, and I suspect some of their crowd will be fired up with Millwall in town. Be surprised if they don’t make a game of it.

Leicester may be playing and scrapping to stay up, or down and ‘relaxed’ (“freedom to play” I’ve read bandied about). They should be performing better than they are with the players they’ve got.

On paper I’d agree that Millwall should win all three, but the Championship does throw up some results (skates beating Middlesbrough and Ipswich in the same week for example).

Anyone can beat anyone. which I’m sure Tonda will drum into our lot as well. Nothing is a forgone conclusion (Sheff Weds relegation apart that is).

Yeah I can't see where Millwall are going to drop a point.

But we'll be in good nick for the play-offs.

Millwall are more than capable of drawing a game or two out of the remaining games. I know they won today but were on a patchy run.

If Boro beat Ipswich tomorrow and we win our last 3 we'll finish 2nd unless Millwall win their 3 games. I still think Millwall will slip up somewhere.

Millwall should win all 3 & probably will do, if they’re chasing Ipswich. Different mentality needed if it’s yours to lose. Pressure does strange things to teams, lets see how they handle it if Ipswich lose tomorrow….

I can't see Stoke stopping them, but who knows, perhaps a 0-0 with Super Baz playing a blinder and keeping a clean sheet

It's only 4 quid. I say let it ride. Better to lose 4 than cry and use that 71 pound profit to buy tissues if we make it.

There's more chance of Sheffield Wednesday staying up.

Boro know that tomorrow is their last chance for top 2 so they are going to give it their all. My hunch is a score draw which neither will want.

I also think Millwall will slip up somewhere and we'll beat Ipswich.

It really feels like it's going to the last game.

Fantastic.

Haven't heard or seen much of Dragan Solak but imagine he must be enjoying the way this season has panned out considering our dodgy start. Wonder if he gets to many games. Assume he'll be at Wembley for the semi-final game.

Genuinely no idea how to feel about tomorrows games at Portman Road. On paper that second place is tantalising but I can't help but feel Millwall will match our results from their three fairly easy fixtures. It still might end up being in our best interests for Ipswich to ride off into the sunset and not have to face them in the playoffs, as counter-intuitive as that feels.

Glad he's shut up for a while if I'm honest

i had totally not been focusing on Millwall in our quest for 2nd. But now seeing their run-in my optimism after the win today has turned to pessimism!

damn it.. i should just enjoy the 19 match unbeaten streak!

What are the latest odds for Saints to finish top 2?

Ipswich and Millwall must still be heavy favourites

Ipswich 2/5

Saints 9/2

Millwall 15/2

Boro 12/1

Seems strange that they would have Millwall at longer odds than us, given they already have a points advantage. I guess they must be taking our better current form and GD into account though.

I agree,  and if Middlesbrough were to win we could find we actually finish outside the top 4. Top many permutations to worry about it

My bet of Automatic promotion / FA cup win double (at 100 / 1 and 50/1 respectively) is still looking good. Unfortunately it was only a 10p bet but it will pay over £500 if it comes off.

For all those saying "hard to see where Millwall drop any points" (which in some respects of course I get)....the combined odds of that treble would be well over 3/1 I suspect.

Any chance we could recall Bazunu from Stoke, before they play Millwall…..!

You know Baz is going to let in a couple of real howlers.

If he does we should just terminate his contract. Not sure how many years he had left mind

I’m definitely supporting boro. Getting 2nd would be huge, plus Millwall have caused us huge problems this season, so I struggle with the anyone but Ipswich and we’ll be ok logic.

I honestly felt we'd be scrambling around with Derby, so to be all but assured in the playoffs with 3 games left is utter nuts. To be 1 point off 2nd is just nonsense. A lot is made of the collapse of Boro, but we've fully capitalised on that lot (and it wasn't as dramatic a collapse as some make out really)

Ideally you'd want a Boro win today for sure, but even an Ipswich win and we've still got chances. I look at Ipswich away to WBA and then ourselves, if they get 6 points from those then fair do's - but they've still got opportunities to drop points after today.

Millwall are an interesting one as they're in there right now, and their run in does look 'ok', you'd imagine they'll do Leicester quite comfortably. Stoke away isn't a 'banker' by any means, so there are opportunities for them to pickup a draw somewhere I reckon. Like ourselves, Millwall need to be perfect. Maybe Smallbone can come back from injury to head in an own goal against Stoke or something?

All totally exciting though, and from a season which was looking like mid-table nothingness - with a bunch of players a lot of us couldn't stand - you have to say this is the biggest turn around in a season I can ever remember.
