We don't look up for this game at all that's what's worrying

Second half performance will say a lot here. WBA are absolute dross... if the players can't be roused for the 2nd half then it suggests we probably aren't going to make it this year.

I personally would bring on Larin and see how they like having a big man shoving them around for a bit. We have the quality behind, just go 4-4-2 and give them some carnage to deal with. They're going to conceded chances with larin and stewart on the end of balls into the box 🤷‍♂️

Very poor but we aren’t going to win every game. Unfortunately our dreadful start to the season has cost us. We can’t afford any slip ups if we’re going to make the playoffs.

Not having tiredness as an excuse, WBA played at the weekend as well. They've just had us sussed since the first minute and we've moved the ball far too slowly.

Really really poor performance.

Put Larin on for Azaz and just get everyone crossing for Stewart and Larin.

And give everyone several shots of caffeine to wake up a bit

Yep. Turns Azaz into a passenger as there’s no space and runners in behind for him to feed and we might as well be playing with 10 men.

That's a usual theme with our subs, they are always too slow and it just takes creativity out of our game. Mind uou not much of that tonight.

Two thirds of the ball. One third of the shots. Zero thirds of the goals.

Interesting comment from the West Brom commentator when Tom Fellows came on: "I've never liked him on the left wing". It's something some on here have been calling for and we might see a bit of it now.

Sorry but why the fuck are Romeu and Bragg both on the bench? Both nothing players which you only throw on if we are winning by a few goals. We are trying to chase promotion you idiot Eckart! Why the passengers in an obvious banana skin?? No wingbacks on the bench is ridiculous. Where is Jelert?

You really are a cockle aren't you?  Bragg offers nothing - really?  He's been excellent this season and if you can't see that you need to go to Specsavers

Well, trying to find the positives... We were a lot worse in the first half against Leicester.

I'll settle for equaliser 97th min. Just cant shoot quickly. I don't think these players will get us 8th next season

Leo having to come off hasn't helped. It would be 0-0 if Charles hadn't had a brain fart and gifted them a cheap corner instead of using his body to shield the ball out for a goalkick - very daft and costly decision. We need to up the tempo because there's far too much walking football.

Matsuki off, Edozie on. Fellows over on the right.

Big loss with Scienza, looked like groin strain, could be 2-6 weeks.

Can’t see anything other than a loss here - too slow in our build-up as usual which plays into WBA’s hands given they love to sit deep. Basically they’re winning because they’re better at the rough ‘em up quick break game and they’re desperate to climb away from the R zone. Our players on the other hand know that promotion means losing your job!

Next 45 mins will likely make or kill our PL chances. Man up or forget our 10 match run

Don’t believe this, did not think we would win tonight, just experience in being a Saints fan. 10 games undefeated, off the back of winning against a premier league side… next a team in the bottom 3, only one outcome. But still have 45 minutes. They will wobble a bit, so can we take advantage. We will not win on Saturday either.

But I still think we will grab the 6th spot as we have a pretty good run in, and many home games.

Majority of the possession, fewer shots and losing. Russball still haunts us.

SR need to put the most investment in attack in the summer. We need a new striker, a better right winger and another AM to challenge Azaz at least. We lack attacking ideas and coherence especially without Scienza.

The fact we haven't even had a corner is damning. What is the point of playing Stewart up front if we aren't getting in down the sides enough and whipping in crosses.

Would be good but a point is not enough

Would take a draw at this point. Think we'll struggle to get back into it because we haven't kept the ball well enough and continually give it away cheaply.

It was poor from Charles but the corner was defended horrendously as usual.

He's looked crap on the left whenever I've seen him

That's why Fellows needs to play on the right really. He's not a "step inside and shoot for goal" type of attacker.

And the one time Scienza crossed from the bye line Stewart had an unmarked header but aimed straight at the keeper. Terrible miss.

Agree but you don't need to defend a goal kick.

True, but there was also a large slice of luck about it. Peretz did well to save the initial effort but that rebound could have gone absolutely anywhere. Very little anyone could have done about it falling kindly on to a Brom player's head.

V disappointing half.  the worst part was Scienza's injury. I don't think we'll see him for at least a couple weeks.   Tonight, I'm going for a turnaround.  1-3 with goals from Azaz, Larin and <drum roll> Tom Fellows.     And yes, I did grow up reading roy of the rovers comics.....

So you think it’s a good idea to have two pretty ineffective CMs on the bench and no wingbacks? One is old and his legs have gone and the other is new to the men’s game. Maybe have one on the bench but both? What if Bree had to go off then? Who’s playing wingback?

These are the sort of decisions that show Eckart is too inexperienced to get us across the line. The teams above us are not going to give us many chances to catch them. This will be a huge missed opportunity if we lose this and you can’t blame Still for it.
