Well yeah, I’m sure Tonda has a few ideas on how to get at them. Don’t give them time on the ball being the obvious one.

Well we'd have to beat City at some point and I'd prefer them over Chelsea.

Just have a good day out

Such a noddy attitude this 'day out' bollocks. It's an FA Cup semi final for fuck sake. Nobody wants to be leaving Wembley having lost.

And they’re not as good as Arsenal- or so the League table says

Their first 11 is probably better than the team that started for Arsenal last night.

There was never a minute’s doubt that the FA want a Man City Chelsea final. Happens every year. There is so much money in football now it can’t be anything other than corrupt. However. We can beat City. And then Chelsea. Plus all the dodgy decisions/ ludicrous extra times etc.

picture the scene of an FA executive on the phone to Sky and the media sponsors : (in a John Le Mesurier sort of voice):

“Well sir, it was all going rather to plan, but then somehow ‘Gerry’ sent some young bloke in completely under the radar to infiltrate the workings and sabotage it …,

But we’re working on it with colleagues in VAR to see it doesn’t happen again..”

Do you think all clubs have the same proportion of idiot fans who think the draws are fixed?

Fixed, no. Predictable, yes.

They play Arsenal the week before. Perhaps we should hope they win and that the league is their priority ( plus multiple injuries and red cards)

Screw the negative attitude. We’ve drawn them only option now is to beat them

2019, 3-1 City (League Cup).

2022, 4-1 City (FA Cup).

Granted, this error is rectified by the fact that we're never going to lose again.

Yeah but if you exclude games when both teams scored I am right 🖕🏼

There’s psychology theories explaining such fallacies. Like thinking you are always in the slowest shopping queue as only remembering the slow times. One in three chance so sort of predictable but that’s probability for you.

it always rains on bank holidays except when it is sunny

I was looking at how Bodo Glimt beat Man City

You have to stay compact, keep Haaland quiet and hit them on the break. It's similar to how we beat Arsenal, so we have a fair chance. I think as long as we avoid yellow cards early on, we should be fine. I thought Mannings yellow card let Dowman in a bit yesterday and made it harder for us

Or their 115 charges penalty of a 60 point deduction and expulsion from all domestic competitions a few days before meaning automatic progression to the final. :suspicious:

Terrible draw but we’d have to beat either City or Chelsea to win it.

Both now in all probability. What price a Saints Leeds final 🙂

Well it has rained, and we drew City. So there.

Presumably everyone has up to date passports for European competitions next year when we win the FA Cup?

Though midweek championship games may be a problem if we dont also go up.

Never mind quoting Shakespeare (and no offence to Whitey, respect his knowledge) but I prefer the 1976 Channon

“We’ve got to win the bloody thing now ..,”

😂 What a cock. What happened last year then?

The only thing which makes the FA Cup such a great tournament and different from pretty much any other is the David V Goliath nature of it. The giant killings, the second division teams wining it. The best thing for the FA cup “brand “ is Southampton or Leeds reaching the final and winning it. Why on earth would they rig it to make it like every other competition in the world.

Somd of you embarrassing yourselves and throwing your toys out of the pram because a 25% chance happened.

Would have put my house on this - the FA hot balls strike again. Fuck all to fear and the underdog tag always suits us. Let’s piss on the Saudi fireworks! COYR.

I'm not one to make big, romantic gestures but if we win the FA Cup I'm getting a picture of Tonda tattooed on my buttcheek. If we get promoted I'll let my daughter draw a picture of him on my leg with a Sharpie.

And then there are the "nods" that get annoyed by a small minority of fans who think the draw is rigged... ;)

Absolutely. I thought Manning did great, kept Dowman quiet until the yellow card. Then he had to back off a bit, still did well, but they were feeding Dowman when they could knowing Manning was on a yellow.

Still disagree with holding the semi-finals at Wembley.

Agree. Abysmal decision even if supposedly financially better for FA.

We’ve got several grounds capable of hosting SF now.

Being at Wembley does make it a lot tougher, but a similar game plan to Arsenal and who knows. We’ll have to be superb and they’ll need an off day, not completely implausible.

Genuine question, what does the Venn diagram look like in terms of overlap of those that think the draw is rigged and those grown men that wear nappies and get given spending money by their missus?

Yeah, they mentioned that. Wellington is fine. The players seem well drilled whoever is left back.

its time to return to semi finals elsewhere, Wembley is paid off. No reason for it other than to pamper to sponsors. football is for the fans.

Yeah, I think Leeds will beat Chelsea. I think Leeds will want it more, Chelsea just seem to go into meltdown mode at the wrong time, and someone will get sent off for them

Where would you host a city/saints semi? Villa Park a wee bit too small for me.

Chelsea/Leeds ditto.

If you're playing in London, there's the north London grounds I suppose.

We can take them. As Shakespeare wrote in Henry V,
