My son just said “so what everyone said we couldn’t beat arsenal”. Hes 9. We need to out sing city (shouldn’t be hard) and give a feeling of home advantage

Well yeah, I’m sure Tonda has a few ideas on how to get at them. Don’t give them time on the ball being the obvious one.

They play Arsenal the week before. Perhaps we should hope they win and that the league is their priority ( plus multiple injuries and red cards)

I was looking at how Bodo Glimt beat Man City

You have to stay compact, keep Haaland quiet and hit them on the break. It's similar to how we beat Arsenal, so we have a fair chance. I think as long as we avoid yellow cards early on, we should be fine. I thought Mannings yellow card let Dowman in a bit yesterday and made it harder for us

Or their 115 charges penalty of a 60 point deduction and expulsion from all domestic competitions a few days before meaning automatic progression to the final. :suspicious:

Presumably everyone has up to date passports for European competitions next year when we win the FA Cup?

Though midweek championship games may be a problem if we dont also go up.

The only thing which makes the FA Cup such a great tournament and different from pretty much any other is the David V Goliath nature of it. The giant killings, the second division teams wining it. The best thing for the FA cup “brand “ is Southampton or Leeds reaching the final and winning it. Why on earth would they rig it to make it like every other competition in the world.

I'm not one to make big, romantic gestures but if we win the FA Cup I'm getting a picture of Tonda tattooed on my buttcheek. If we get promoted I'll let my daughter draw a picture of him on my leg with a Sharpie.

Absolutely. I thought Manning did great, kept Dowman quiet until the yellow card. Then he had to back off a bit, still did well, but they were feeding Dowman when they could knowing Manning was on a yellow.

Being at Wembley does make it a lot tougher, but a similar game plan to Arsenal and who knows. We’ll have to be superb and they’ll need an off day, not completely implausible.

its time to return to semi finals elsewhere, Wembley is paid off. No reason for it other than to pamper to sponsors. football is for the fans.

Yeah, I think Leeds will beat Chelsea. I think Leeds will want it more, Chelsea just seem to go into meltdown mode at the wrong time, and someone will get sent off for them

Where would you host a city/saints semi? Villa Park a wee bit too small for me. 

Chelsea/Leeds ditto. 

If you're playing in London, there's the north London grounds I suppose.
