The Sky coverage is, as predicted, unbearable. The hypocrisy between their coverage of this and their continued ignorance of rule breaking by Chelsea and City shows how broken the sport is.

Boro fans booing our players already, sounds like Saints fans responding with 'We are Southampton, we'll spy where we want'

No Hayden Hackney in the Boro squad still going to be a really tough game but if we can stay solid first half and frustrate them we can get a decent result

So according to Sky, it's the mighty all conquering Boro team filled with superstars against a bunch of cheats?

Will love it if we stuff them

This just looks like complete bollocks frankly, if it's this student mentioned, he only did a placement here and LinkedIn is not reliable at all. How would they even get his name, you're under no obligation to give your name to another private party in a public space? How would they check his phone, again, no rights at all to look at someone else's phone?

Made up outrage to try and fire up the crowd. Hopefully we smash them and do the binoculars celebration 🥽

Not so much. They can ask. They can be refused. As I understand it, any handing over of data would be voluntary unless it winds up in civil litigation and is subject to discovery. Noting that while I've spent way too much of my adult life in the room with lawyers that I am not one.

Hope you've learned your lesson and stay out of court in future.

I made this same point earlier. These same pundits, presenters and journos regularly kiss the asses of super-cheats like City and Chelsea yet they come down on us like a ton of bricks even before anything is proven.

I was completely passive going into this game but now hope that we are so out of sight by half time that Bob Mortimer gets carried out on a stretcher with Saints fans singing ‘road to hell.’ Fackin’ northern monkeys!

I think we may see some dodgy reffing in this game - don't be surprised to see a soft penalty or red card.

I think it might have the opposite effect. The ref will want to avoid showing any kind of bias against us if anything.

Are you one too? Divided we fall. Shame everyone can't be a liberal lefty socialist like me.

The other thing I noticed at the start of the coverage two of the presenters were banging on about the integrity in football and saying there's no place for cheating. Presumably they've never watched or played a game in their life because there is more cheating in football than any other sport.

Yeah with the whole team getting dogs abuse should take the attention off of him a bit and allow him to do what he does best.

Jobi McAnuff is a Pompey sympathiser. He has family based there.

The media being all over this is no surprise. They want controversy, and they have little interest in talking about football. They gobble up shit like this.

Players don’t care. This game is big enough as it is.

Let’s do the job, and get back with a good result for the second leg!

He's a massive bellend aside from that, too. That added on top makes him a clusterfuck of a human. Makes my ears bleed.
