Happy Announcement Day everyone!

Will be a great relief at least to know where we are today.

Everyone will remember where they were when Tonda got a 3 games touchline ban

And 300 pages up now on the Spygate saga. 400 coming up once the sanction is finally announced. 😬

What is the Saintsweb definition of a "saga"? Pompey Takeover had one as does Spygate but not Defectors or Injuries. It would help my appreciation of this forum if I knew the difference between a thread and a saga.😀

the Epic tale of the iPhone and the tree

Tonda and the legend of Rockcliffe Hall

Anyone know if Tonda is back from Germany? I'm assuming he would have gone home last week to see his wife and baby. Has he been seen at Staplewood? Asking for a friend.

The FA have been busy this morning. They've charged Stockport because of an incident that happened in MAY...

Sounds like they have a bit of a backlog. They'll get to us eventually when it suits.

Sounds like we might have a shot at Champions League qualification with Tonda at their rate then 😂😂

The irony is that the FA are set to make Tonda accountable for his actions. Yet they are accountable to nobody for their own inaction.

Can't believe that the FA blazers would want to spoil one more expenses-paid outing tonight by having to be sober enough to talk to the press about whatever draconian punishment they might fancy imposing. Tomorrow afternoon after a long lie-in would be my guess.

I don't see it being before the Pompey game. It'd be carnage if the bad news comes out before the match.

I know that comparing Tonda's misdemeanors with other transgressions is frowned upon by some of the Saintsweb intelligentsia, but what's worse..? Sending an intern to film an opponent's training session, or assaulting a child spectator...?

Went down a bit of a rabbit hole on the FA website. This isn't the first time Tonda has been charged with the FA - he got done for being part of a mass brawl 5 years ago

https://www.thefa.com/-/media/files/thefaportal/governance-docs/discipline-cases/2021/the-fa-v-stoke-city-fc-barnsley-fc-and-others-27-september-2021.ashx

"TONDA ECKERT
23. We are unanimously of the view that TE’s part in this incident was the most serious. His
behaviour was aggressive and violent from the moment that he confronted DH. He
slapped DH and later had his arm around someone else’s throat. Therefore, we must
take a higher starting point in his case. In his favour we take account of his previous
good record, genuine remorse, and admission of the charge. Therefore, our starting
point is a four-match touchline suspension and a fine of £4,125. Taking account of the
mitigation and admission we reduce that to a three-match touchline suspension and a fine
of £2,750."

Hope that previous charge doesn't count against him, but it might do

Nope. I just can't see it being sensible to have that news mixed with that atmosphere.

Wow, that's a great find. I can't see how that's not factored in, given they reference his "previous good record" in that case.

I know it's been a long time, but it's not news, was talked about on here and elsewhere, thought it was common knowledge.

Not a good look for Tonda. He seems to lose it and is seen snarling with his face contorted with rage. Can see why he was punished for this.

I'd have advocated a ban for the rest of the season in that case. Crazy.

That's ridiculously lenient for what he did.

Let's see what level of leniency the FA show towards Tonda.

Good job Bielik wasn't grabbing a young Boro fan.

The police were involved and no charges were made but apparently there was an out of court resolution between Bielik and the fan.

An opponent's training session taking place in public view let's not forget. If the FA are really trying to ban members of the the public from viewing activities taking place in public then maybe I can see why this decision is taking so long.

Unfortunately your post history only goes back to the 20th of September so we've only got a couple of weeks to look through.

That wasn't contorted with rage, that's just his normal face - he always looks at people like that, even when he's happy.
