Don’t know if he’s a purchase or a loan. Two sources - 1 from someone linked to club and 1 linked to JWP. Am happy to be proved wrong. Heard anything more on this over the weekend?

bugenhagen Posted yesterday at 20:27 Posted yesterday at 20:27 I would guess that JWP will most likely be moving at the very end of the window. West Ham will look to get rid, but want to not give him away, and he/his agent will be looking for the best deal possible. We may have reached out to him or his agent, or the other way around, but I doubt anything concrete is just around the corner.

He's a decent prospect and did well for them this season - reckon he'll be one to hear more about in coming seasons - not clear he is what we need right now however. 1

Ted Bates Statue Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago We're clearly a long way off anything getting set in stone at this stage, but I think it's worth pointing out that signing him would put our squad on a solid footing going into the new season. I think it would put us right in the mix in the battle for promotion. 2

lumuah Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) If JWPs return is set in concrete, we can build on it and it could cement his legacy at St Mary's. Keepers will be bricking it over his rock solid free kicks. We should look to build the team around him, as he will help the structural integrity of the side. If he becomes a cornerstone of the team then the reconstruction of the squad will be fully set. Edited 12 hours ago by lumuah 1 1

JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Haissem Hassan available for less than EUR 10m. On last night's showing wonder if he does go to Celtic who have been linked with him.
SaintLondon Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I could imagine JWP being announced as a new signing tomorrow with the Southampton Made slogan - a veiled slight at that lot down the road.
Willo of Whiteley Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Whoever Saints sign needs to fit in seamlessly with the profile, motivation, humour, drive and calibre of where the squad is currently. 2

He's predominantly a left side winger/inside forward and we've got Scienza for that, he's 5ft 9" so isn't really going to be a like for like Stewart replacement if we play him centrally and he's never really played as a 10 so wouldn't be considered the competition/cover for Azaz either.
