BILLYDO1948 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I thought he should carry the can as the man responsible together with a fine on the club or/and points deduction. Being thrown out of the playoffs was a huge penalty and more than enough punishment for the club. Hence he should now stay with a chastisement from the club and an apology to the fans. 1
James G Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I think keep him if we can, it's just the FA I think throw a curveball and have all training sessions open next year for all intern analysts. It's culturally acceptable and educational everywhere else. That'll mess with the spying laws
SaintsLoyal Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Just stopped the club from going to wembley and a game for PL promotion worth over £200M and has now tarnished the club with cheating , in the worst situation the club has ever been in. Around five to six starting players are now going to walk out the door. 2 5

BERMUDASAINT Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Keep him!!!!! If posible!!!!fk fa!!!! I see players and support staff will not support him arguments made by the some of the 23.5%. Why would players or support staff not support him, would be the question! Even with the spying. Tonda and his coaching staff ( with Spors recruitment) has turned the club around. If you were a player, your attitude of playing shite and poor results was prob soul destroying. Tonda has made players and the team better,he restores their pride and stature. Backroom staff/ analyst were a failure before Tonda team revival( 21 unbeaten), their resume were shite as results were shite. Now they have a team that by all accounts was the the best in form team in the league. I think SFC staff were buzzing with the unbeaten streak? Stick together as we now have a winning formula. Of course outsiders want to ripe us apart, fuck em, they dont have our best intrest at heart. Edited 5 hours ago by BERMUDASAINT 6

macca155 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago The question is not do we want to keep him, but will we be allowed to keep him. Or rather engineer a situation where he can be kept on. I'm less bothered about potentially losing out on the PL. We'd probably stink it out again anyway, but obviously the money is important. I'm majorly bothered about the reputational damage to the club. Normally that's a sacking offence right there. However Tonda enabled and unbelievable run, and we've not seen that since the early 80s. Just feels like an act of self harm to let him go. I'm totally conflicted so I'm just glad I'm not making the decision. Wish they'd get on with it though.

And would any other industry make such a big deal over something so inconsequential? It’s akin to someone in the car park taking pictures through windows of staff members working at their desks. No it isn’t. You wouldn’t gain anything from taking still pictures of a business meeting. Bugging a meeting would be a better comparison.

Saint Pete Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It's probably going to come down to what happens in this FA investigation. If he gets a lengthy ban, I don't see how we can realistically keep him on. But if there is no ban or a short one, my feeling is he will stay, and a "heartfelt" apology will be made by Tonda so that the club can try to move on. You would have to assume Saints would like to keep him on if his FA punishment is not really harsh otherwise you would think he would be gone by now?

I would like to have answers to more questions before I change mine. 3 I can think of off the top of my head. The initial response of “lone wolf” & lying to the EFL seriously undermined us from minute one. Was this based on anything Tonda said, did he lie to Parsons when first asked about it. The panel unimpressed with this. Did he really think it was against the rules, or was this a lie. The panel were unimpressed with this as well. Why the fuck hasn’t he released a statement, even if it’s just a holding bland, “feel your pain” type. Maybe lawyers/LMA involved, but if not, this shows a lack of character. I’d also like to know more around the bullying claims. Not the actual bullying, it’s a man’s world, but what was the specific push back from the victim. Was it “I’m not doing this because it’s against the rules”, if so, it’s criminal he didn’t go and check or at least cover his tracks and stop doing it. Or was he too arrogant to think he was on the wrong path.

Holmes_and_Watson Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Breaking News: Southampton bosses flee country ahead of FA probe. "They're on the lam(b)," said Doris the tea lady, who will be managing the team next season. 1
StrangelyBrown Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I was thinking sack him, but then saw Saint loyal's posts and realised I needed to give my head a wobble. Sacking him would be an irrational overreaction - I was there to begin with, but the only reason we're having the spy gate discussion is because Tonda pulled off a miracle (albeit partially by cheating) and got us into the playoffs in the first place. 1

Swaythling Saint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago No to this poll and no to the last one 🤣 Think it hinges on what the outcome of the FA investigation is really. The board obviously believe in him and while (some of) the squad will be rightly annoyed, that can be resolved and smoothed over. 1
