Saint86 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) End of November / start of december is fairly important i'd suggest. 28/11 - Victims (H) 5/12 - Wolves (A) 9/12 - Burnley (H) Christmas period is kind to us: Charlton (A) on the 26th followed by WHU (H) on the 29th, and then Cardiff (H) on the 1st Jan... you'd struggle to get less travel than that as a provincial team. Similarly end of Jan is: QPR (A) on 23/01, WBA (H) 26/01, and PNE (H) 30/01 - thats another very kind set of fixtures from a travel perspective - all in all we should weather the winter congestion quite well (on paper). The bad periods for congestion otherwise seem to be end of feb / start of march, where we have Pompey (A) on the 27/02, followed by Stoke (a) on 03/03, and then Watford (H) on 06/03. Then the final run in is a bit mean with Millwall (A), Brum (H), and Burnley (A) in one week. But all in all, its not a bad fixture list. SHU home on the final game should be quite a nice one, the season should be largely over for them IMO - unless they have a great window. Fancy we'll return 5-6 points from the opening 3 games. My biggest grumble would be that we don't get to play a relegated side until the 24th October, which will give them ample time to settle and get their runs going post transfer window. A shame really. franniesTache Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Happy that Lincoln away is early in the season new ground to tick off and shouldn't have any hassle getting tickets even if the allocation is small. Also nice to see bristol city away is currently a saturday for the first time since 2011 1
bpsaint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Both games against the Skates to be pushed back to the following day. Wouldn’t be surprised if Hampshire police have a say in the Boro game time and date too.
die Mannyschaft Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Evenly spaced out teams so have on paper 3 point games , draws and difficult games. Dec , new looks good. Possible away games but small allocations. December Sat 5 Wolverhampton Wanderers (a) Wed 9 Burnley (h) Sat 12 Cardiff City (a) Sat 19 Blackburn Rovers (h) Sat 26 Charlton Athletic (a) Tue 29 West Ham United (h) January Fri 1 Cardiff City (h) end season also looks good for a Saints team that should be in top 5 by then. April Sat 3 Blackburn Rovers (a)Tue 6 Swansea City (a) Sat 10 Lincoln City (h) Sat 17 Millwall (a) Tue 20 Birmingham City (h) Sat 24 Burnley (a) May Sat 1 Sheffield United (h) Lincoln City another 2,000 small allocation but in Sept so I may have enough aways. think aways will sell out as fans will want to to see Saints win away what with all the expected spy chants at grounds.

A shame really. 7 points first 3 providing we get like for like replacement on anyone who goes in window, plus few decent players from non retained list. Hopefully likes of Millwall, EFLBoro will have best players sold. Need to get off to good start first 2 months.
Patrick Bateman Posted 42 minutes ago Posted 42 minutes ago Nice spread our fixture list of interesting matches. Saints v Pompey one month, Saints v TheEFL the next month. 1
