Preston 1-0 Saints - Match Thread

[Saint NL]

Bring Peretz up for these corners, he might score

[Monk]

This really cannot be swept under the carpet.

This, Bolton & Lincoln are inexcusable, especially given the points deduction. The board backed Tonda and stated autos are still the priority and it’s not being delivered.

International break much needed and I hope it’s used to take stock and make some changes/new plan b.

[East Kent Saint]

Better 2nd half 21 shots 7 on target ! unfortunately no goals ……

Abbott showing some fight there. I like him.

Been the bright spot today by far.

[St. Ciervo]

6 minutes... Where was the gif from earlier SNSUN?

[BotleySaint]

Not going to happen.. Really wasted opportunity.

[AlexLaw76]

We are generally crap in the first half of most games and our away form is shite

unless that changes significantly we are not going up at all

Should have been two halfs like that but with goals.

[Sheaf Saint]

Cardiff 5-4 up now!

[obelisk]

Saints fannying around with short passes just plays into their hands.

[tdmickey3]

Another wasted opportunity born out of the ridiculous tactic of playing on half

TE sort this shit out

[SNSUN]

[Lard]

Disgraceful.
inexcusable.

[Saint Matty 76]

We do love inexplicably losing a game just before an international break to mull over for weeks.

This 100%

[RedArmy]

Worst team in the league by a distance and we cannot even fucking score.

[whelk]

What a shit day

It was a GIF? My broadband is so slow I thought it was just a picture.

[Saint NL]

Nearly 2-0 ffs

[BotleySaint]

Corner to them. Could have been 2-0.

[Sunglasses Ron]

Fucking typical, what a life supporting this team! 😅

[Suhari]

Abbott with a saving block.

[saintant]

Bad way to go into the International break.

[tdmickey3]

That attack was pathetic from us

[RedArmy]

Abbott and Schlotterbeck are the pairing for the rest of the season when he’s fit again by the way.

Yep classic Saints. Doesn't matter what generation or league. This is what we do

[SNSUN]

On a weekend of fireworks, we put out a damp squib.

[obelisk]

Should have been two. Saints need roasting for this.

[Edmonton Saint]

Azaz has been fucking awful as well. Sometimes I think, he thinks he’s better than he is.

[Mr X]

That's what you deserve when you play that badly in the first half!

That’s what workrate, belief and full effort looks like.

The SR corporate style has been in evidence today combined with a lack of quality.

PNE players have worked much harder on 10% of our budget.

[Disco Stu]

We could play another 90 minutes without scoring. We can't beat the shit of this division. We've not got the grit for an automatics push.

[Lee On Solent Saint]

A team serious about promotion can't be losing to shit like this, either home or away.

[JohnnyShearer2.0]

Wonder if Tonda will come out again apologising. He needs to sort out the slow starts and away form.

[saintant]

Wouldn't score if we played for another week.

He's either on fire or lazy as hell no inbetween!

Yep. Abbott has been good.

Because we’ve ended up with a squad with pretty much zero competition for places. Complacency creeps in pretty quickly.

[Saint NL]

All over. Awful result

[Jimmy_D]

One of those days.

And **** officiating.

[obelisk]

And that, folks, is why this lot will be no more than play-off material.

[6ft8saint]

Why has scienza stopped running at players and the byline.

Such rubbish today

Not fit enough, PNE have outworked and out-run them today.

[Suhari]

Bollocks.

[St. Ciervo]

Surely a handball?
