1 mod to lock the light bulb thread because it had diverged into trolling from people who think candle's are safer because they are less likely to start fires.

3 posters to start a new light bulb thread

2 to start "why was the light bulb thread locked FFS!?" threads.

5 posters to send the mod a PM saying "why was the light bulb thread locked FFS!?"

1 more who just sends a PM saying "you're a c**t!"

1 to post a picture of a girl in a bikini, completely unrelated to light bulbs (unless she happens to be holding one), which makes the fred NSFW. (Bates.)

1 to say something cool about light bulbs because he wants other people on the board to like him, and they pretend to but secretly they all think he's a p rickle.

102 to read what's going on about light bulbs on the Thread but never actually post anything.

What are all these apostrophes for, then?

10 x tory lounge members bemoaning the cost of changing the lightbulb, complaining that it happened under Labour and blaming the unions.

10x union light bulb changers, going on strike, refusing to change the lightbulbs whilst other light bulb changers are getting royally screwed and everyone else in the room is left in the dark. :smt008

1 to commment that....

This thread is completely non-PC, it totally ignores the fact that for many people, the mere concept of the chance to change a lightbulb is the stuff of dreams.

For example, those without the physical ability (such as those Birmingham fans with vertigo) many are completely unable to reach upwards and change the lightbulb.

OR

How about those poor bonus-less bankers who have spent the last 3 weeks desperately trying to find the right lightbulb to change on last year's Christmas Lights simply because they are 2 million quid out of pocket this year for not being able to sell any leveraged finance to Liverpool FC or Dubai?

OR

Those poor souls marooned in the Channel Tunnel who had no option but to spend years (well hours) endlessly changing lightbulbs to try and find one with some electricity still inside to light up their carriage (well, many were French)

Oh, and how about some respect for those many people killed each year by mistakenly holding on to the metal part of the bulb while plugging it in and who are thrown out of high rise building windows by the shock. Did you ever THINK to consider the hurt you have caused their surviving family members by reminding them of their tragedy?

And what about those poor rich people who have Butlers or Maids to go to the store, purchase and then change the lightbulbs. Did you not think about their mental confusion when you started this one sided attack?

No. You just blindly went and ruined so many people's Christmas experience.

Banning's too good for him, restrict him to the Arts Forum, how DARE he resurrect old wounds and divisions like this.
