Ok,it is not beyond the realms of possibility that we could nick a win, just a little mad to think so perhaps.

Leeds turned them over at Old Trafford, mind you they then went on to not register a win for 14 games i believe.Completely ruined their promotion campaign.

I think Fergusson will field a strong side and show us some respect in doing so.

I see....3-1 Man U.And tbh,i would settle for that.

I've said this before today: we should play a reserves side. And send the 1st team away for a training break somewhere warm and sunny

Not trying to be vindictive or otherwise start an argument but are you going to the utd game? I think that would be highly out of order to all of the people who have brought tickets and our reserves taking a pasting would hardly help the "feel good" factor we keep being told about which surrounds the squad.

we haven't got a reserve side, just a few extra players and a mish mash of kids who aren't stepping up to challenge for first team places. We're on TV so if we play the U21s + Pulis we'll be a national and international laughing stock.TV means we have to put our best side out I'm afraid.

Some fans have paid £55 each to watch this game (including the Carlisle game). They won't be happy if Pulis trots out onto the pitch.

I have shelled out £70 for me and my 2 Saints mad sons - I want to see a strong Saints team and go for a shock result. How often will my sons have the chance of seeing Saints overturn Moan Utd in the cup? However, there are league home games every other week (that they do go to) this is their chance (ok faint chance) of poking fun back at the Moan Utd plastic fans that go to their school and live nearby.

Looking forward to it and I'm glad it's Man Ure 'cos although we will give them a good game, with the best will in the world I can't see us winning this. So let's get this FA Cup distraction out of the way and concentrate on getting out of this league.

I honestly could not give a **** about this game. I think it takes the **** that there is already a thread about it FFS.

League is all that matters to me.

You could of waited to post in here until thursday or friday, if it upsets you that much. I'm pretty sure Saint_Lard, who started the thread, doesn't give a sh*t about this game either.

TBF i expect us to put on a better show than we did against them 3 years ago. I expect us to make a game of it.

We should do better, that team was shocking (Paterson, Mclaggon, Ryan Smith etc). But Man U this season are unbeaten and yet don't seem to have any particular stand out players, they could rest eleven and still field a team that could smash another Prem side.

I can't see anything other than a comfortable Utd win, though Chambo does give us a puncher's chance of fluking it.

Really dont give a monkeys about this game! The league is the only thing that matters and we have to go away to places like Tranmere and get a result if we want to go up, end of!!!

Cometely agree with this I was going to post exactly the same. Really couldn't care about this game. People will say we will have two games in hand. In order fo this to be a positive you MUST win these games. Would have quite happily lost to Blackpool. League HAS to be the priority this season nothing else. No distractions.

Quite looking forward to this. Only due to the fact I'm looking forward to be back in the Itchen North again and a good away support will hopefully mean we make a half decent atmosphere on Sky too. Don't get me wrong, the league means much more but if we pull off a result then it would be immense.

I made that mistake last time, the Itchen North is a thoroughly miserable place to be when you are getting stuffed and have 7000 glory hunting, manc ****s shouting in your ear.
