Call me premature if you like but what are your thoughts on these fixtures then?

Liverpool vs. West Ham

Spuds vs. Everton

Chelsea vs. Sunderland

Newcastle vs. Fulham

QPR vs. Wigan

Obviously we all want Liverpool and Chelsea to win and (baring any personal persuasions) don't give a sh*t about the Spuds game but what about the other 2.

We are only 2 points behind Fulham but I think I'd rather keep Newcastle at arms length (currently 4 points and worse GD) below us. DRAW for me.

The late kick off will be good however it pans out. Either Wigan stay 7 points behind, Saggy chops is sent down or a draw which marginally suits Wigan but still keeps them comfortably behind Saints. DRAW for me again.

I will be hoping for the following.

Liverpool vs. West Ham Liverpool

Spuds vs. Everton Don't care

Chelsea vs. Sunderland. Chelsea

Newcastle vs. Fulham. Draw

QPR vs. Wigan. QPR

QPR are gone, they cannot catch us, Wigan are not and still stand a slim chance of catching us.

Liverpool win against WHU, then we can stay in 11th for a week. And obviously QPR to beat Wigan would be huge, and will probably seal us for another year. (we'd then be in effect, 8 points clear because of our GD)

Chelsea should put Sunderland to the sword. Quite fortunate fixtures for us.

Sticks in my gut to say it, but a QPR win please. Especially given the Villa win today. I want some daylight.

Fulham to lose or draw too, please. Newcastle aren't going down, so am just trying to maximise our chances of a high place finish.

As long as either Wigan and Sunderland don't win we're ok. Not too bothered about Newcastle or Fulham. As long as we can stay 6/7 points ahead of Wigan/Sunderland I'll be happy.

Sunderland have a tough run in and a dodgy managerial change, whereas Wigan have a VERY winnable FA Cup semi-final next weekend

Beat West Ham next weekend and we will go back above them anyway, and stay up! Lovely.

Still not happy if Wigan manage to win, as things close up again! Still think we will win at least 3 of our remaining games, and may even send stoke or Sunderland down.

Teams in our position have still managed to get sucked in, so teams at the bottom still want to lose.

Wigan and Sunderland lose and I will be happy. Beat west ham and that will be it lads and lasses! Feet still firmly on the floor!

Wigan to stuff QPR.

Their great manager needs to be seen for what he is....

He came in, inherited half decent squad for relegation battling side.

He spent fortune signing samba, Remy, Ben haim, jenas...

How has he done?

Since manager

Gained 5 points on reading.

None on Wigan

Dropped further 5 behind villa

Dropped further 10 behind us

So further away from rivals for safety.

Want them to lose every game.

Trust me if QPR get relegated Redknapp's rep will not suffer one bit. The media absolutly love him and will spout on about the "mission impossible" HOWEVER if QPR did stay up he'd be "HARRY HOUDINI" legend ect ect

He cant lose..... He will be classed a "top prem manager" even if he relegated 5 clubs in a row.

I would prefer Sunderland and Wigan to win - Why? Because i dont want us to get comfortable or psychologically think we can ease off the pedal in out last games - we have an opportunity to kick on from here and hopefully the players not start thinking about the beaches of some foreign destination

Yes this is what my heart says too, I detest the club or more precisely it's recent history. Deeply dodgy unpalatable people involved such as 'Arry and Briatore. As someone else said, a classier Portsmouth.

I don't get why people want Wigan to get points today? I know peopl don't like Redknapp but I'd rather the gap between us and the bottom 3 stayed as it it rather than got smaller!

The form we are in I don't see what it matters really we should be confident in our own play rather than worrying about teams below us - we need to catch the teams above us and embrace the next level challenges all depends how your glass is half empty or half full - I'd rather focus on getting the highest position we can and relegation should not be an issue we consider from today.

Plus - and I really hope it happens that QPR get utterly stuffed - all that money spent , nothing like seeing twitchy interviewed saying he just cant understand it - well maybe me old saggy chops your not as good as you think -

I'm with you guys. I really don't think Wigan will catch us no matter what, and I could NEVER hope for a QPR win under Henry. It still hurts that we lost to them/him at St Mary's.

So I will be hoping for wins for: Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and Wigan. In the other match either a win for Newcastle or a draw (although I think I would prefer the former, as we could then go 10th next Saturday).

I hope that:

Liverpool vs. West Ham

Spuds vs. Everton

Chelsea vs. Sunderland

Newcastle vs. Fulham DRAW

QPR vs. Wigan

QPR wont catch us, and id like the 7 point gap to stay as it is, so QPR can win this one. Sunderland to lose too, keeping them well and truely in trouble.

Liverpool vs. West Ham HOME

Spuds vs. Everton NOT BOTHERED

Chelsea vs. Sunderland HOME

Newcastle vs. Fulham DRAW (but home win ok)

QPR vs. Wigan HOME (but draw ok)

if the results go like that, we're safe IMO.

We can still finish above West Ham although a lot will depend on next weekends game obviously. Their game in hand is at home to Man Utd in midweek and I'd say they are unlikely to win.

The Chelsea game is the one I'm most interested in.
