I thought the guaranteed fee was £36m; and another £6m possible but not guaranteed.

If the sell-on applies to the profit on the guaranteed fees only, the profit is £36m and we get 20% of that, your £6-7m.  And the £6m and the £8m in my example do not get taken into account.

But do we know or merely assume that is how it will work?

Sorry to be a pain.  I could say that I was asking for a friend who likes chewy sweets and apparently lives near the sea but he might not be interested in the answer.
