Yeah because there’s no difference between the strikers at Oxford Utd, Hull city & Norwich, compared with Harland, Salah & Cole Palmer…. 3

With Baz it’s, “the more he lets in the unluckier he gets”. As for bigger problems, don’t make me laugh. As poor as our defenders are, they’re not the worst in every league they play in. The Baz defenders seem to find a reason why he would have saved it but didn’t for almost every goal he concedes. Must be the unluckiest keeper we’ve ever had. 6

Because if you had you would come to a different conclusion. Or do your prejudices not account for significant deflections? The second would have beaten more goalkeepers than would have saved it. Just out of interest, do you think a new GK in January is a must or is Bazunu good enough to be relied upon until the end of the season?
Sheaf Saint Posted Friday at 21:52 Posted Friday at 21:52 23 minutes ago, Whitey Grandad said: Edit: OK, I've watched them. Their first was a deflection off THB that would have beaten any goalkeeper. Their second was struck hard and low and will go in 7 times out of ten against anybody. He might have positioned himself slightly more to his left but that would have exposed his near post. Let's not pretend that any goalkeeper at this level and certainly not McCarthy would have doe much different. We have much bigger problems elsewhere on the pitch. Utter bollocks. Watch the highlights of our recent game at Derby and look at the saves he made. He would have come out and narrowed down the angle to give himself a much better chance of saving it, which is something that Bazunu never does. I would back McCarthy to save that. With Baz you just know it's going in. 9
saintant Posted Friday at 22:14 Posted Friday at 22:14 Have just watched the highlights back and once again you have to ask why Bazunu isn't racing out and cutting down the angle for Oxford's winner - he is rooted close to his near post (is he continually roped to it or does he draw comfort from it?) and invites the attacker to pick his spot. 3
Willo of Whiteley Posted Friday at 22:31 Posted Friday at 22:31 I’d have so much respect if SR came out once in a while and went “do you know what, we fucked up big time on this”. But they never will. So until that time, they will permanently be distant from the fans. 1

HKsaint Posted yesterday at 01:00 Posted yesterday at 01:00 (edited) It took a few months before Will Still realized he is appalling and dropped him. Will still was then sacked. I don’t know it will take how long for Tonda to realize this. Baz Oxford United 2 1 Southampton if McCathy Oxford United 1 1 Southampton if Ramsdale Oxford United 0 1 Southampton Edited yesterday at 08:20 by HKsaint 2

My daughter is currently learning German and has recently come across a number of those entire-sentences-in-a-single-word, for which their language is famous. One such example is backpfeifengesicht, which translates as "the urge to punch someone who desperately deserves it". It should be Rasmus' middle name IMO. 2 3

Baz Oxford United 2 1 Southampton if McCathy Oxford United 1 1 Southampton if Ramsdale Oxford United 0 1 Southampton I’d be amazed if he’s ever dropped under Tonda. Just can’t see it happening. The main initial priority between tonda and SR the moment he was appointed was to shoehorn Baz straight back in as number 1. Doubt his continual non prevention of saveable goals will get in the way of SR’s long term dream to be proven right that Baz was a good signing and not a horrific waste of money 6

It's actually like reading this forum but substituting the word "Bazunu" for "Ramsdale". Aaron Ramsdale - Page 81 - Football - Newcastle-Online

OldNick Posted yesterday at 10:34 Posted yesterday at 10:34 RM got lucky when Bazgotinjuredand Macca came in. All of a sudden we looked sounder in defence and had a keeper who took the pressure off the defence by claiming the ball. I accept Macca is not good with his feet but neither was Shilton, they were there to keep the ball out of the net not to play a pass along the goal line to a defender. It hasnt taken long for teams to realise that dont need to press when the ball is ith the keeper but just wait for us toplay out and then mop up the long ball to AA. Once they have the ball proceed to about 20-25yards out and shoot , job done 6

die Mannyschaft Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago If your employed as an outfield dribble then goal positioning and saving is not really a concern. Let's look at the positives like being able to wait till last second and pass in 6 yard box. Cross field passes, taking time to take goal kick and don't forget going up for corners. This is the role of the modern data keeper. If we had 2 or 3 players on the line half the shots wouldn't go in.
