In your highlighted section above you say someone would need to be making a point to say white applicants considered more important. So who was trying to make the point by saying non white more important and indeed, what point was that author making? You said it, so don't run away from the question. 

I really think you’ve over thought this mate. They are trying to encourage applicants from under represented groups. That’s what the line says and that’s what they are doing. Nothing more. There’s no major conspiracy or underlying angle to be found. Take it at face value and walk away. Never go full Rupert Lowe.

And if you’re still inclined to think Saints are on some anti white charge then please do have a quick look at the pictures of our new coaching set up. That should settle your nerves about the impending doom you face as a white man.

Lowe, and some on here, completely missing the point (Lowe deliberately of course). This is a Premier League/FA initiative and presumably there is some financial incentive for clubs to create this additional coaching position. Can't blame Saints or any other club for getting an extra coach on the cheap while a knowledging that the recruitment will be on a fair and non-discriminatory basis. Obviously at each club there will be only one successful applicant, so it will be interesting to know over the whole scheme whether any diversity targets are actually met. In my view the only 'discriminatory' element should have been that the applicants were British citizens, but that doesn't seem to have been mentioned.

Lowe should keep his toffee nose out of our Club's affairs and stick to being a loser.

Is there not a big fucking clue in the advert, that this is in conjunction with a Premier League scheme to encourage people from Black, Asian and mixed race backgrounds into coaching when they have finished playing. 

It is also a role that is split between Saints and the Premier League which includes being an ambassador for diversity in the game. The complete job role is below:

Or just apply identifying as yourself? As a white male you’ll find little challenge I suspect - other than possibly having no coaching qualifications for this level of football.
