Id of thought he'd gel well with the likes of Elanga, Gibbs-White and Hudson Odoi.

really??

Forest will probably be lower mid table next season, so probably a fairly good level for where MF is right now. He’s a decent mid table player, he’s not going to be playing regularly for any of the top, CL chasing teams.

I know they’ve been shite this season, but fair play to Goztepe for finishing above Spurs and Utd.

Surely we have the resources to sign a decent Coventry player if we want to. Hopefully we look at them and some Sunderland players if they lose in the final.

Remember what happened last time we took a Sunderland player....

Looks like we’re going to be ok on the catering side of things, although you know what they say about too many cooks.

It’s the football side that worries me…

With Sugawara, Matsuki, Takaoka and Sakamoto we would have the league on rice.

I’d rather have Sushi, Sake and Karaoke.

PL'de oynayan en uzun oyuncular:

Costel Pantilimon: 1.80 8 - kahretsin

Lacina Traore: 1.80 boyunda - kahretsin

Stefan Maierhofer: 6 fit 8 - bok

Nikola Zigic: 6 fit 8 - bok

Paul Onuachu: 1,98 boyunda - bok

Peter Crouch: 1,98 boyunda - iri bir adam için iyi ayaklar ve oldukça sevimli, ama sonuç olarak pek iyi değil

Böylece teori çürütülmüş oldu

I didn't say it had to be over 2 meters :) Centre forwards must be 1.85 and over, defensive midfielders must be 1.85 and over, centre backs must be 1.90 and over, full backs and central midfielders must be 1.80 and over. If you pay attention, all the footballers you listed made money for the first clubs they were transferred to and these names are before 2015, not 2020. Examine successful teams and clubs that make money from player sales, they generally apply this formula, in 3-5-2 the wing backs can be short, and centre backs can be 1.85. In 3-5-2 and 4-3-3, one of the midfielders can be shorter than 1.80 because the centre is crowded.

If you get booked for just taking the shirt off, what kind of ban is that going to get him?

Is Evan Ferguson totally unrealistic? Prem players don't drop down a division unless they absolutely have to, but is there a side in the Prem that wants him to play games next season? I guess all the promoted sides would take him.

Man United currently favourites to sign Liam Delap, shows how far they’ve fallen

If they don't get that CL place they are going to have buttons to spend.

One player I definitely wouldn't take is Roberts.  Thought he was supposed to be decent when we were linked 2 years ago but based on both games against Cov, I thought he was rubbish.  Constantly cut inside and kept losing the ball.  Small sample to judge him on but didn't impress at all.

I know, I was just making a little joke :)

Overall I agree with your point that bigger, taller, more powerful players are more likely to succeed in the English game. Our squad has been way too lightweight for too long, we need to add more physical presence all over the pitch.

It's an interesting shout, I'm not entirely sure what the score is with him - injuries seem to have curtailed his progress a hell of a lot.

If he's injury free, he needs game time though. I can see two avenues really, he can do what Liam Delap did and move to a newly promoted side in order to build a rep by playing regular at a high level, or he can drop down into the Championship to prove his worth. As he's not really done it consistently at any level yet, I'd say an ambitious newly relegated side is an interesting shout and probably as good as he can expect if he wants regular football.

Agree, before the game Iwas wondering whether Dam Ballard would be what we need, after last night I suggest many clubs will be alerted. Big strong just what is needed for the Championship

Agreed. I would very much hope that Ballard and Abu are included in the first team roster for next season, alongside some decent older experienced players.

Think Broja's in a similar category to this also.

Can't see him dropping down a division. If no PL side wants him, he'll go abroad.

Abu is a free agent in a few weeks so may not even be here.

What an annoying word - unless of course you're american then - if so - fair enough.

Yep - certainly could see him in Italy. Pretty sure there was some talk of Roma in the past wanting him.

I was just trying to be hip in a Southampton soccer ball type of manner as is often favoured by @Turkish. 😉

Probably a good idea to look for a career other than being a professional footballer.

There was a suggestion on the New manager' thread that Peterborough's Poku would be a good signing. Copying my reply to that post across to this more suitable thread:

Just spent a week on holiday talking football with a Birmingham ST holder who is from Sheffield. Poku is a player the bluenoses are looking at. The talk at Birmingham is having a budget to match the parachute clubs like us and of signing players this summer good enough for the Prem (and targeting CL in five years), so they are very very ambitious. I'd suggest we should be interested in anyone they are interested, Poku being one of them.

If you have not seen him, he's a very left footed right winger. He is a good dribbler, likes cutting inside and shooting. He does go outside to keep the fullback honest, but I think we all know by now that that `third' of the pitch inside the fullback is the place where most goals come from, so maybe we get someone in that can actually score goals, like he does from that position. He's not lightning quick, but he is more robust than Edozie. I'd be surprised if we hadn't scouted him, Raki-Sakyi and a few others to play on that right side, especially if we are going to offload Armstrong.

As for Wednesday, Charles won their player of the season, but many saw Gassama as the better talent. He's another winger, this time right footed (with a stronger `swinger' than Poku) who seemed comfortable on either side. He scored a few last season. He's not lightening quick either, but I thought he looked a little more dynamic than Poku, maybe a bit more acceleration? Like Poku, he has tricks and a nice drop of the shoulder. After him, Valery did OK for them, suiting their system, but not sure we want to go back there.
