Hoping Spertsyan goes through but also that we move quickly for an alternative if he drags things out too much longer. The closing weeks will be an acid test for Spors - will he be able to avoid the typical SR mistake of scrambling after our main target doesn't work out? Could he bring about a 9/10 transfer window? 1

revolution saint Posted Sunday at 11:51 Posted Sunday at 11:51 Spertsyan is in the lineup to play today so nothing imminent. Seems like the Russian League started on 19th July so there shouldn't be any fitness issues if he did sign. 1

Harry_SFC Posted Sunday at 12:49 Posted Sunday at 12:49 (edited) 🚨 A €12.5m offer from Southampton for Eduard Spertsyan has officially arrived today at Krasnodar — the Russian club are considering the proposal, while it remains to be seen if the player will accept the move #saintsfc @ArmenieFootball A bit at odds with what was reported the other day - that personal terms would be no problem. It does seem that he wants to go to a bigger side although rather join us than stay at Krasnodar. Edited Sunday at 12:51 by Harry_SFC
Give it to Ron Posted Sunday at 13:08 Posted Sunday at 13:08 🚨 Southampton are said to have offered Eduard Spertsyan a four-year contract worth €36,500 per week, with an increase in the event of promotion to the Premier League #saintsfc @ArmenieFootball This looks like a come and get me to other clubs and better this. 11

All that has changed is time is running out and he hasn't had a better offer yet, so he's come back to the table. 5

Yeah would be pretty sure that Spertsyan was the #1 attacking midfielder target Dragan Solak refered to when he said we could sign in three key positions without needing to sell anyone. Would imagine they have put a deadline on it and if they have indeed got to the point of making an official offer to Krasnodar then hopefully they have had some indication he is interested.

Not sure he's come back to the table so much as put the table out front, turned on a red light and stuck up a giant neon sign saying 'Come and get me big boys.' 1
gio1saints Posted Sunday at 14:14 Posted Sunday at 14:14 The bloke is apparently in £24k per as it is. Offering him £35k per week at Saints to play championship is defo barely something you hold in reserve until a better offer arrives. I hope he comes on board. Looks a player. Does well he becomes way better known playing to global audience environment. If he does not, then he was no good anyway and rats like that we don’t need. That’s how it goes right?🤣
Convict Colony Posted Sunday at 14:17 Posted Sunday at 14:17 Wouldn't surprise me if it was krasnador holding this up and advertising the opportunity to try and get bidding war a la dibbling. we wouldn't of made an offer without being convinced he was happy to come and terms agreed. Still has mentioned several times about getting the right quality of people in rather than just anyone. What with Ed being player of the season I. the Russian leagues I'd guess they were hoping for a bidding war. 3
Convict Colony Posted Sunday at 14:20 Posted Sunday at 14:20 (edited) Random question what's the physicality and technique of the Russian league ? Any comparable leagues ? Answering my own question, seems cross between Turkish and Belgium top divisions. Edited Sunday at 14:23 by Convict Colony

sfc4prem Posted Sunday at 14:59 Posted Sunday at 14:59 Gakpo's figures were pretty good indeed when it was reported we had offered him a deal, alongside Leeds and then, of course, Liverpool. I'm not sure this guy is near that level. The comparison works in the sense that he certainly seems to be looking for a bigger club to come in for him. Fair enough, really.
S-Clarke Posted Sunday at 15:22 Posted Sunday at 15:22 Every summer we're linked with a 'coup' level signing, but we never manage to pull it off. I'm not getting myself excited over Eduard until there's more evidence to support an actual move. It's all hope and speculation right now. 7

Didn't have any other suitors at the time and the issue was mostly whether Arsenal would let him go for a reasonable fee rather than holding out for silly money (and to some degree whether Ramsdale would be willing to dice with relegation again). But it's not as if we won against multiple other offers.

Convict Colony Posted Sunday at 16:15 Posted Sunday at 16:15 Eduard if your reading this forum. Just know I've read a book on the Armenian genocide and completely am on your side. Please note that doesn't mean I'm tolerant of a Kardashian except the younger fit one (authors note, this fitter one is actually a product of plastic surgery a south Korean would be proud of). Also a plus side is we are not receiving rockets from Ukraine and not having biblical floods like you've just had. You'd piss Stoke away 10

We will agree terms and someone in sports republic will carry it on their balance sheet (hey gozteppe) which will be off set by a owners injection of funds or some such Redknapp skills 1

ChrisPY Posted Sunday at 16:22 Posted Sunday at 16:22 (edited) 11 minutes ago, Matthew Le God said: Because the journalist reporting the offer said it was after tax No, they didn’t. Firstly, the post was not in English. Therefore, they didn’t say ‘it was after tax’ which is English wording. Secondly, giving an offer after tax would be most unusual. It would be almost certain that the offer the club gave to the player was before tax. Edited Sunday at 16:28 by ChrisPY Clarification

I can't see us committing to that sort of wage in the Champ.

The biggest issue we have at the club is we don't have a goal scoring and assisting midfielder. 52k if you think the player can deliver goals is a still even more so when you've got rid of KWP, Sully,TP wages which is guess is over 120k 1
