Guan 2.0 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago On paper, Three Kings for an Ace seems like excellent business. Hopefully, it will work out better than when the Daily Echo declared the same for us bringing in Mark Hughes, Stuart Ripley, and David Howells, after the Kevin Davies Sale. As long as Mads keep up his good start, make him the captain, and we will have a reinvigorated team, free of scar tissue. 😏 2 3

We signed two last summer in Taylor and Wellington when we already had Manning, Larios and Meghoma (left on deadline day) at the club. All five signed in the last three years as well. Maybe the new ones love a right-back and we're going to sign Kabore as well? 😂 Well, it wasn't Kabore, but it turns out this recruitment team loves a full-back too! As per Alfie's Tweet, probably frees up Taylor to go as well. Nathan Jones is getting a few of his old band back together at Charlton. Three signings from Luton this summer and we know he loves James Bree, so did think that could be a possibility with Bree's contract situation and him just being a bit average. 1

Should definitely have gone for the Stoke keeper. Probably can't whilst Ramsdale is still on the books. I can see Newcastle returning him to sender next year. Johansson is class and would demand the no1 position. That would lead to complications. I really think Ramsdale should have stayed and knuckled down. His career is going nowhere at the moment. He is in danger of becoming a big wage problem,as well as being a complete Jonah. Even West Ham wouldn't touch him. We are going to have to suck this one up I fear. 2
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Jelert and Roerslev both Danes. It's about time we went back to signing nationalities in pairs. Though hope they are both good, Delgado and Chala/ Pahars and Bleidelis etc. 3

SNSUN Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Love a loan with an option. Does well, he's ours. Does shite, we pack him off. We need cover at full back and Jelert ticks that box. Bree or Taylor out then? With Welington out long term I hope it's Bree, though I quite like him. 2
Costa del Solent Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Above all else, getting rid of the spectre of last year was always going to be so important. Watching us against Ipswich and Stoke, I began to fear we’d be relying on those stranded on the titanic… We’re getting there now. Honestly (and selfishly) I’m not sold on the idea that our strikers are cut out for it but I’d loved to be proved wrong (and am well aware of the stats, thank you) I’d love a left winger and another fullback (incoming!?). Also hoping Bazunu has his break out season for us!! bring on the fish fuckers Edited 2 hours ago by Costa del Solent 2
ErwinK1961 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Jelert would surely mean Bree (and probably Taylor) out. Edozie leaving would hopefully then mean Scienza in. Then a case of shifting Aribo, BBD and Smallbone? 4

Smirking_Saint Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago If we get this Jelert and Scienza in the door and somehow manage to convince someone to pay BBD as a footballer Id say we’ve had the best window of any of the clubs down here, and coincidentally have the best squad, especially if we consider depth I don’t want to hear that SR don’t invest, they always have, and for once Im happy we’ve actually bought players to improve ourselves in positions we need, instead of buying a ton of players per position What I like is the age profiles, Ive never had issue with youth, one thing SR did well was bought players with sell on value, and before Im sniggered at that’s how we managed to pull in 72m BEFORE the TD and MF sales, because financially the younger players are less risk SR always failed to make the important signings count, but looking at it we’ve done that this time Azaz is a quality signing, Jandar looks promising (i don’t know much) but Fellows is an absolute belter, a division leader in a position we needed strengthening and for what I would say is cheap For once…… well done SR… thank fuck Ankerson dropped the reigns 8

It will still be a busy few days! I don't think we're done with incomings bearing in mind recent links (and we do still need a couple of players) but I do think it rests on the exits. Hopefully Wrexham's interest in Will is concrete, surely someone will want BBD and I still think Edozie goes to Brugge. I've not seen of any links to Aribo though. And weirdly, he'd be the one I'd personally keep of those 4. Deadline day will be VERY watchable this year, incomings or not. 1

He went from being open, friendly and liked by the players to moody, insular and disliked. The transformation was huge and that was what ultimately brought about his demise, although admittedly along with the team's form- there was an element of chicken and egg about it. (Like I said to a previous poster. I used to be Winchester Red and have contacts in the physio room. I'm absolutely not ITK, but I could tell which players don't do what the Physios say they should and who's training on their own ...and I'm using Physio's room in the widest possible sense). I think from Saints perspective they've got their starting XI and key rotation guys signed now, so if others come in they'll be rotation options and they'll be coming in because we shifted the ones Still has decided he's not arsed about

Assuming Samuel waited to see their ECL league place confirmed (it was a formality v Martin in the second leg really!) plus the clubs were slightly apart in fee compared to what Strasbourg offered. redkeith Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Good to see another fullback coming in . Bree was shockingly bad against Espanyol and Brighton . Sugawara was much, much better when he came on, and lots of people on here put Sugawara in the Steve Baker zone. Not watched the videos of the German lad, but he sounds a bit like Steve Williams from what I have read. 1

Smallbone I think is just the clubs negotiating over payment. BBD rumoured Blades or Blackburn loan. Taylor probably to Boro if Jelert happens as can play both sides. Joe Aribo despite his agent hawking everywhere for what seems like his whole time here is the one that can’t shift. Not the worst footballer on that list, arguably the best, but the rumour of being a bigger earner must be true. Has the hallmarks of a deal sheet loan on Monday when potential clubs miss their first few choices and run down their lists 3 1
SambaMaverick Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Worth mentioning the Turkish and maybe even the Saudi windows are open later for Aribo, might not be over on Monday 2

Needs to really in a WC year as well because I think his chances of XI football at Saints diminished considerably today.
