Don’t see why people are trying to turn on rusk .. if it’s not obvious that we are absolutely dreadfull by now i don’t know what to say .. but fans still making the next poor bastard to manage us the villain

Because he persists with a ridiculous formation and makes shit substitutions.

Rusk’s “tactics” seem to be limited solely to keeping the score down in every game. The  lack of ambition in games is ridiculous. Is this what it’s come to? Yeah we are a poor side but so are Ipswich , and they have a go every game and have a lot of shots, and show intent. We show absolutely fuck all intent game after game and that’s most excruciating thing

As I've said previously, I think we need someone who wants a clean slate, full of ideas and most importantly wants to be bigger than Southampton.  Normally, I'd be worried if they want to use Southampton as a stepping stone but on this occasion I'll take it because if we are a stepping stone  he has to be successful.  I still stand by my idea of Still as he is the only stand out candidate who wants to be bigger and is an unknown.

This season is a write off and has been for long time .it’s not even worth getting angry about anymore ..  imo at least rusk gets it that setting up defensive stops us getting battered every week and keeps us in games more . .. earlier on in the season I Blamed bad management too but it’s becoming clear that no one coukd get a tune out of them this season

I don’t think keeping the score down is a bad tactic. Look at the drubbings we have had this season, and we don’t have the tools to “show ambition” that just leads to bigger drubbings. I am disappointed in yesterday though I honestly went up there expecting to see a win. But generally, playing against anyone above the bottom three I think there is little choice. I also think Leicester and Ipswich, Leicester in particular, have more good players than we do. We have not got a single player who can affect and influence a game, take it by the scruff of the neck and drive us forward, with the possible exception of Fernandes.

It’s been a terrible season, but it’s not on Rusk.

But it is not stopping us losing. With the freak exception of Fulham, once the opposition scores we know that we are going to lose as we are unable to offer any offensive threat..... 25 goals for.....82 against.

It may not be Rusks fault that we’re so shit, but that’s not to say he’s the answer. On yesterdays evidence he’s not.

The thing I fear the most is that SFC is embedded with the SR way of playing football - possession based or whatever you want to call it. The past rationale to this is clear in my mind…

SR - We want promotion back to the Prem, but we can’t afford expensive players or any that have high wage demands that will exceed our ceiling. We need a manager and coaching staff who understand and can utilise a possession based system that keeps the ball at all costs - if they don’t have the ball they can’t hurt us. Step up Martin who installs such a system across the entire club (in tow with the entire Group).

I’m not seeing or hearing anything so far that indicates to me that the above rationale has been abandoned. Is Spors suggesting a new strategy or direction?

And this is my point. We lose anyway, I’m not saying go gung ho but surely there’s a balance whereby we can set up to sit deep and counter a little bit surely and have our own attacking plan at certain opportunities during games, instead of just meekly hanging on for dear life every game and accepting narrow defeats when we inevitably concede, with no idea of how we’re going to score ourselves. It’s a total waste of time and terrible viewing. If we were capable defensively of getting 0-0 draws I’d be all for it -  but we’re not. The results to date prove that

Let’s be honest at half time how many of us expected the score to finish 2-0 or 3-0, or more. Probably the vast majority. That tells you everything you need to know about our lack of attacking intent

Johannes Spors comes from wanting a Red Bull style of football. Numerous interviews from his past stating that, plus some in his time at Saints. He won't be picking a manager that gets them to play like Martin did.

Rohl clearly confident he is leaving Sheff Wed for someone and wants it done ASAP.

Sure it will become clear where his destination is soon enough.

If we wanted him when RM went I don't see why we would have changed our minds on that since.

We now have someone different in charge of appointing the manager to when Martin left. Although that new person has worked with Rohl before and favours Rohl's style of play on managers.
