With all the (justifiable) doom and gloom today, that was great to see Harry Reed smash it in top corner v Liverpool, great goal he will remember that one! 👍

Great goal, good to see Reed made a good career for himself. Same as Targett really.

Both were let go from us at a time when we were 'upgrading' our squad, yet they're both many many levels above what we can currently field. So, well done everyone. The blueprint of how not to run a football club since 2017!

It was a bit of justice after Liverpool were given an offside goal by new VAR rule , even Wirtz thought he was offside , because he was . To compensate for VAR margins of error due to timing of when the ball was actually kicked etc there is a new 5cm tollerence applied if the two lines overlap so if this is the case the attacker has 5cm leeway so is given onside !!

If it's that close then it's a toss up and not worth arguing over. If you want to play a game that's more definitive then try Russian Roulette.

I see Amorim has gone the same way as Maresca. They both clearly called out influences above them stopping them doing their job properly, or providing the right tools, and they are promptly ousted. Probably excuses in some way, but it also goes to show that the managers don't 'run' the team like the old days, they are just the front figure to the DoF/Scouts and board.

On Motd it showed the defenders foot one side of the mowed grass line and the attacker over that line on the next patch so looked pretty offside to me ! As you say close but wasn’t VAR supposed to remove any doubt ?

There will always be doubt with offsides. It's a dynamic situation with players going in different directions and a measure of uncertainty as to when the ball is kicked. The offside law was only ever meant to prevent goal hanging. VAR can only eliminate the howlers

The Glasgow fans know full well who calls the shots, so no surprise Tisdale's gone. But they are still wanting changes in the board, the Chairman having stepped down a while back this season.

As for Nancy, loves a 3 at the back and, like Martin, brought in an innovative, project centred ethos. Both clubs, being the last ones the fans will put up with an innovative, project based ethos.

Still, if Tonda continues to sink, don't be surprised if SR look at him.
