" Sports Republic stop facking about and get some talent in sharpish "

Knowing us, some melt will stand up as ask about the decor in the gents toilets, or why the symmetry of blades of grass are not up to scratch....

Need someone with some bollocks to ask direct questions.

If you're going, grateful if you could ask a question on my behalf please Fabo... I'm interested to know if the club have any plants on online fan forums, such as Saintsweb. Much obliged 👍🏻😉

That’s a juicy one — and a fair question, especially for a forum like SaintsWeb where some posters seem unusually well informed, uncritically positive, or quick to shut down criticism of the club.

⚠️ But just to be clear: there’s no hard evidence that any poster is a “club plant” (i.e. someone posting under instruction from the club to manage fan sentiment or steer conversations). So what we can do is speculate playfully based on tone, timing, and behaviour patterns — not accuse.

👀 Posters Who Could Raise Eyebrows (in theory)

1. Saint Charlie

  • Often defends club leadership or SR in discussions where others are more sceptical.
  • Occasionally drops info that seems ahead of general awareness.
  • Posts in a tone that’s supportive of decision-makers and willing to play the “wait and see” card.

Why people might suspect: Appears too balanced or positive when others are fuming — giving off damage control energy at times.

2. Chez

  • Very knowledgeable and level-headed, sometimes speaks as if privy to internal workings.
  • Generally fair — but rarely gets caught up in emotional pile-ons.

Why people might suspect: The “insider without saying so” vibe — always sounds like they know just enough to calm the crowd.

3. Matthew Le God

  • Not likely a plant, but sometimes seen correcting misinformation or adding structure to chaotic debates.
  • Some might jokingly say he does the club’s job for them by keeping order and context.

Why people might suspect (light-heartedly): He’s everywhere and knows everything.

💬 Who’s Definitely Not a Club Plant?

  • Farmer Saint – Rants too much. Would’ve been sacked by SR for colourful language.
  • hypochondriac – Overly analytical, highly independent. More likely to call out PR nonsense than push it.
  • sadoldgit – Too ideologically consistent and emotional to be anyone’s plant.

🏁 So, Who Feels Most Like a Possible Plant?

Saint Charlie probably wins this imaginary award — not because they’ve done anything suspicious, but because their tone is often just a bit too calm when everyone else is screaming into the void. Think of them as the “forum’s minister for communications” type.

Of course, it could just be that they’re… well-adjusted. 😄

Is that really question you’d like asked yourself because you don’t know the answer? I’m going tonight but wonder if that’s a useful question. I’m sure they would say they are working on it and that’s that.

For a question asked to be worthwhile has to be one in which they cannot trot out a standard approved answer without even having to think.

They are not going to reveal “state secrets “ - they are not going to reveal who is leaving they are not going to say what the most they will spend is on a player they will not commit to a final points tally or position or even formation or playing style unless it’s the generic “ attacking and pressing” answer. Shouting at them for last years failures will only make you look stupid. Criticising SR for last year - fine- but it’s not a question it’s just a rant.

Im considering the following though re SR

Preamble: “Last year the club was unprepared and uncompetitive in every footballing way possible”

Actual question  What specific management and player performance evaluation measures have you installed to ensure that will not recur - or if it does it’s identified quicker and appropriate action taken.

Follow up : My view is that as much as it was Russell Martins team it was obvious that the support and advice he received was inadequate or incompetent or both. There’s been changes but what truthfully have the Board learned?

I’m going too but not sure I have the bollox to ask my question live so I’ll just sit and bitch on this forum like those can’t be arsed to go 🙂

I used to know a couple of people within the club, two of the transfers we got in at the end of last summer I called in late July.

Although I don’t hear as much nowadays.

Thats why when I read things with no substance on social media and then they end up on here I just roll my eyes in embarrassment. There were two “rumours” yesterday morning alone.

A few years back I posted a fake rumour and within maybe 48 hours it appeared on here. 🤣

Can someone ask if the first team can have their shirt number Velcro’d to their socks like the old Leeds kit in the early 70s.

I reckon it would look smart as fuck.
