EFL seem to have screwed over it's Southern teams here. Only 22 teams in the South compared to 24 in the North and we have 6 established PL teams whilst the North has 5 including all the newly promoted ones. So definitely more scope for a winnable fixture for an EFL team if you're in the Northern pot

Everton away

Might have to play them at home because it’s the southern section of the draw.

Sorry I over thought it

Couple of all PL draws in that, also a couple of PL teams against strong Championship sides, which is always good for progression chances.

I’m indifferent to our draw.

Ah another Nor fixture.

And another spousal rivalry to to push my already animosity-filled marriage to the limits. Bloody Norwich. Even my daughter favours them over Saints. I'm hoping our new arcade and mini golf course will sway her.

Must be the most northernmost club in the ‘South section’…😫

Just pipped for distance by that other...ahem...southern club Wolverhampton.

Shit draw.

Edit: Tell a lie, just checked and Norwich 190 miles, Swansea 170, Wolverhampton and Plymouth both over 150.

Probably the worst possible tie we could've got

Why? Far better than a trip to Brighton, Bournemouth or West Ham.

Pretty sure people are referring to the journey needed to get there and back in midweek, rather than the standard of opposition. Maybe more winnable of course, although PL teams often put out their weaker teams.

Purely from a matchgoing perspective

It's been a 5 hour drive there before with m25 traffic,  bloody tough trip on a Tuesday night, suppose some will make a trip of it but we've played there plenty of times so not appealing

We've got an airport, they've got an airport. Hire a private jet, job done. I can't see a flaw in this plan.

Was looking for Reading or Bromley but have to play a big team ar some stage. Probably worst team we could draw, long trip etc. Its winnable,  do we get a big allocation? Maybe only chance for fans not on 10 -4 aways to get a ticket.  never many officials coaches though always sold out early on.

Last train out of Norwich after the game is at 2202 which gets back into London Liverpool Street at 2357.

If the game went to penalties, you'd probably have a little bit of a jog required to make that train...

If it goes to pens you'd need to swim across the Wensum to get that last train.

If you swam across the river from Carrow Road, you'd have to swim back again to get to the station!

7:45 kickoff, so full-time around 9:35, penalties takes 5 minutes to get going and then 5 minutes to complete. Out of the ground at 9:45, into the station at 9:55 with 7 minutes to get food and drink for the train. Job done.

Still pack your swimmers just in case Steve

We are , details are confirmed, I actually think Norwich is a good place to visit for couple of days, some great pubs in the city centre not far from the ground, tempted to head up there if I can sort with work

If you like real ale and craft beer, I rate it as one of the top 5 places in the UK. Fat Cat is too out of the way for the football ground but a must earlier in the day or next day if you’re on annual leave.

Tickets now on sale to members. Still a few remaining as at 17:00. Looking at staying up, hotel adjacent fully booked now for the Tuesday. This is the one with pitch facing rooms.

The newly reopened Norwich castle looks interesting too.

Went on general sale at half 3.

Sold quite a few it seems, though I suspect a large amount of seats will be empty on the night.

I suspect you are right but the idea of buying a ticket and not bothering to use it seems mad to me, at least offer to give it away to someone

Only about 150 left out of the 2,022 allocation

About 40 years ago I flew the Southampton team to Norwich in a Fokker F27 of Air UK. If I remember correctly they lost.
