How would they spin that and have any credibility left? What's that now 3 or 4 Duff managers they've appointed?

They don't have any credibility left anyway, it's long gone.

Last orders in last chance saloon, I make it. I've just booked an Uber to the afters and pulled a tactical chunder in the loos.

It's like everything is going swimmingly in Sport republic world they honestly probably think Rasmus and co are doing a fantastic job and that we are going to shoot up the table any second now! Even now they probably still believe Eckhart is the answer! 🤦

The saloon has closed, the mine tapped out, the railroad diverted and even the tumbleweed choose better ghost towns to visit. That's where SR are. 🙂

Agree. I don't see how they can let him prepare the team for the Pompey game if we lose tomorrow.

There is no way on earth we can possibly lose tomorrow. An experienced manager doesn’t get results

No they don't. Which is why our next manager is to be a Mrs Weber. She's from Leipzig, and once passed their training ground. That makes the baby she is carrying a definite tactical genius, with the near complete level of inexperience that makes for the perfect SR candidate.

The, as yet, unnamed baby, will be supported by assistant managers initially from midwifery, and then from a rolling group from those in the toddler play group.

He won’t see out the season but I can’t see them sacking him now.

They will give him the January window,  bring in a few players he has no say in that don’t improve the team, results will continue to be poor and then they will sack him.

Following that they will appoint an experienced old head we have never heard of from one of the European leagues ( perhaps the Greek league this time) to shepherd us to the end of the season.

It will take time for them to find another manager worse than him.

Nivea, Garner ? They’re already jostling for position.

Nah. If they're going to get rid, it will be after Pompey. They're cowards, and they know they'll need him as the fall guy during and after the derby, otherwise all the heat will be on them and no-one else. Then after we lose on Sunday, they can sack him to keep the heat off for another week or two before giving it to Lallana or Dream Academy to guide us seamlessly to the actual relegation.

I have not posted much recently, I mean it is a bit pointless because literally nothing changes, but I did listen to the manager pre-match for the Sheffield United game and I've never really listened to one entirely....is it me, and I am a twit who mainly doesn't know too much about football or how it works, but does he sound like he doesn't know what to say or basically what he is talking about.

If he is like that with the players when we aren't about then no wonder they don't work very hard or do what they are supposedly asked.

If he is genuinely like this he needs to be removed from the job now.

I orginally typoed this as 'post-match' but I don't think I could face that at all...

You’re on the right track.  TE is a mixture of Still. Selles and Jones.   Thrown into the colosseum as a pup by SR and now devoured by the experienced gladiators.   Expect him to sink without a trace when he is belatedly removed from office.     The only unanswered question is how the hell did the purple patch ever happen…. and where did it go?

It's not you. As you say, nothing changes. So, the interviews are much the same. Just increasingly desperate, with eyes a little wider each time in the face of the approaching headlights.

There's only the one tactic. So there's only so many ways to try and spin that it hasn't been found out.

Our players are well versed in dealing with one-trick SR managers. They've not had to work particularly hard for any of them. Normal levels of apathy apply until the next one comes in.

The players were quick to point out how much clarity he bought into the team after Will Still when he became interim manager. Which was obviously sound judgement and nothing to do with the fact that he was most likely to give them an easy ride. Or, that they're all too fucking stupid to know what "clarity" means.

We clearly need a proper manager. One who will go in a sort out this rabble we have assembled. We clearly have indoctrinated some very bad behaviour, and let it persist to far too long.

One things for sure, Tonda is not sorting this mess out.

There's no way they sack him before Sunday. Purely because no one would be mad enough to step up to be "coach" for that game. If Lallana has serious aspirations to be a manager, then losing on Sunday would be a huge black mark against him before his career has even started.

Tonda will be out the door at 2pm on Sunday.

Official announcement late pm Sunday/early evening to try and distract/take heat of the fanbase ire but yes, in essence, defeat tonight and there and it’s over for him.

By which point, the season will be gone and we'll be staring down the barrel of an actual relegation scrap.

Should have never been appointed, another stupid decision like giving Martin the PL gig, always going to be a failure

They just make clueless decisions over and over...

I think that was a typo, he didn’t bring “clarity” more likely “claret” bottles of the stuff, they play like they’re permanently fucking pissed

I think clarity for the team means the same old boring shit we played for a few years before, and the style of football that has infected academies up and down the country. Guardiola inspired possession above all else risk averse stat focussed bollocks.

When players across the nation have been learning the same style since they were 16, asking them to do anything different must mess with their heads, bless them.

Interestingly one player said he makes things simple post-Still (THB) yet Scienza when asked what we did differently (when winning) indicated not a lot, if anything.
