Absolutely no idea. Still said he was injured but then reports came out that he's been fit all year. Even if we didn't want him long term you'd think we'd have been playing him to keep his value up.

Possibly suffered from us not playing two wingers, but you'd have him on the bench to replace Leo. Feels like a proper falling out. Maybe the club prevented his move happening by asking for too much and he was pissed off...?

Which is a bit of a turnaround from you 'calling BS' on any possibility of Armstrong leaving because you didn't believe some 'lazy journalism' and seeing only one report, or something.

Plus ca change

What a weird dig? I said I think all less it’s from a trusted source then for the most part it is bullshit.

Whats hard to agree with there? Do you take every piece of information as gospel?

Don’t believe the first “link” you see?

Have you had a bad Friday? I haven’t had a reason to call you out in recent times because our opinions were similar but that’s very bizarre to just sound off like that on the back of nothing.

Really strange that Edozie has been ostracised???? What exactly is going on behind the scenes?

It can be a painful procedure to undergo as an adult. And sometimes, there can be complications. I can imagine things like running and football to be quite painful...oh ostracised...never mind...

He wanted out, managed to leave for a while, didnt want to come back or play for us in The Championship, bridges burnt. I'm happy that we choose to play the players who want to be here, even if some of those who want out are superior (which Edozie probably isnt).

That's another argument against the Sport Republic manager recruitment philosophy. You want your manager to be part of the reason that players want to come to the club so you need someone with enough stature that players will want to work with them. And you want players to have the confidence that that manager is still going to be there in a few months.

Very true but managers of stature do not seem to want to come here

As a matter of interest do you know any suitable managers who have not been employed

So You’re flabbergasted at fans who spend money on tickets and merchandise to support the club, while you complain about the lack of club spending, don’t attend games, only accepts free tickets and you’re shocked people are spending money to support the club?

I don’t think you know what “Support” means, happy that you’re staying away, the club doesn’t need you

Flushed one of you out then. The issue with people like you, well apart from being a grown man with a cartoon character as your profile pic, is that you are not bright enough to connect the dots. If there are enough seals like you going down for pints in plastic cups out in the cold, fried frozen food, playing Tetris in level 1, paying £40 a ticket to watch players looking like they are doing a light passing training exercise for 90 plus minutes then why would Sports Republic buy new players, hire a manager that’s going to say no to them and have demands, buy proven experience players rather than children so they can use the club as a player trading vessel etc. if you lot keep turning up and worse still spend time before and after the game giving them money then they won’t give a shit if we are in the national league.

As to your comment on support, you might think Tom Cruise is a good actor, would you go and see every film he makes even the bad ones? Same goes for any other form of entertainment. Here’s a brainwave for you, support doesn’t equate to how much money you spend on something. If so Dragon is the world’s biggest Saints fan and clearly he doesn’t give a shit. If this club hadn’t bought a player that I’m closely related to I wouldn’t exist. So suffice to say I have a much stronger connection to the club than you ever could you grease spot.

Are we Tom Cruise in your analogy?! Odd parallel to draw between being a fan of a football club and a cinema goer.

Why do we always leave it to the last minute ?

Like take Armstrong if he really wants out, Start of window put it out to other clubs 10 million minimum you have him.

Already have a replacement target lined up and make moves....

Edozie and Aribo can't we just release them both on a free and a take a hit..

I can imagine the WHU fans going nuts. How many relegated Saints players do they need.

Oh for the good old days when we used to sell our best players to Liverpool to win trophies. Now we sell them to West Ham to help them get relegated.

Imagine if Damion Thorn scores a couple.

Second thoughts, even LSD couldn’t help imagine that.

Meh. Almost everything the club does it a pretty baffling way to run things. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if THB goes but at least if Armstrong and THB go that's some of the pus lanced from the boil. Just Stephens, Aribo, Edozie, Downes and Wood to go.

If we get in Saggy Bagpuss as transfer consultant, 6 or 7 would be a pre breakfast warm up on (Sky mandated capitals) DEADLINE DAY!

Is selling Edwards any worse than selling Ballard?

No, but it’s similar with Ballard that it’ll only seem terrible after the recruitment that’s happened after it. Signing Downs and after selling Ballard made that terrible, selling THB after selling Edwards would also make it terrible.

Or maybe that’s me rambling like a mad man.

No, Rasmus operates at a level you and I could not possibly understand. The interpretation of the data will prove him right

You know THB will go and probably for less than he's worth. Business, if any, will be left til the final few hours of the window so governed by panic rather than planned and considered. Typical SR.

Just shows playing under a decent manager makes such a difference, he looked decent, as do Derby as a team

TBF pretty much the only thing Sports Republic have been good at is extracting decent value from the player sales.
