You just know if we were 2-1 up with seven minutes of injury time, we’d be defending four consecutive corners. Saints? Nope, let’s turn back inside and find a pass to a CB, then misplace it straight to a Norwich player.

And you were digging me out before KO for questioning if we had enough attacking options on the pitch and bench.

No way this team will go up. GK and defence poor, physically weak side generally, mentally weak side generally, fuck all on pitch leadership.

There's no way this lot are getting promoted. Playoffs a long way off too.

On the basis of today's performance you're not wrong. However we won't play like that each week so the optimism will back on when we click again. I don't think it means that well get rinsed by the mighty Coventry next week either. Just a shit Saturday lunchtime watching Saints.

Easy to say when you’ve got a zoom lens and slow motion. That goal is down to weak defending and a chicken-shit goalkeeper.

It would have been saved had the striker not cheated.

Not a popular thing to say but we need experience at this level.

Calling MLG to the main board, BAz, THB,Stephens,Wood, Manning, Downes, RF,Arma, Charles, can’t be many teams with more Championship appearances than we have.

No, it is down to an opponent scoring with his hand

Poor result but one of those days that we had often under Still. Plenty of really good chances to score  and put the game to bed but missed them. We could have been out of sight before half time and it would have been an easy win.
The main concern is the Plan B or apparent lack of one. I do think we will be a different second half team once we have Stewart fit. Will give us a better outlet.
This result does show why autos are gonna be out of reach though.

Why are we so bad in the second half of games?

Zero game management, it doesn’t exist.

We really have 1 way to play and when it doesn’t work Ekhert is clueless

two biggest criticisms of SR this summer window - no new keeper and Stephens extension - direct alignment with these issues.

I think he was referring to the manager.

Well that was fucking shite.

Poor penalty, shambolic defending, same old Bazunu and far too much Martinball. Once again we surrendered the midfield by only playing 2 in there.

Desperately need a GK, CB, LB and striker - all very weak positions. And stop playing 5 at the back....

Is anyone still expecting a promotion charge? With Will Still i was just hoping we'd stay up. Now I'm hoping for midtable with a late push for the playoffs. Going straight back up isn't going to do us any favours..

It was. It was an absolute mess at the back, outrun in midfield and no threat at all second half. The amount of time they had to put crosses in beggared belief.

With Manning and Fraser in a back 5, that was always going to be happen.

Fucking sick of Manning, yes he’s got a decent shot but can’t defend for shit, shocking in possession today and too slow to ever get back into shape defensively.

How many chances did we have in that second half?

What has that got to do with it? Had the ref done his job we’d have got a point. Also, it came immediately after we’d equalised. If the correct decision had been made it would likely have been a totally different ending.

Need a proper manager or we aren't going up... Or he needs to learn very fast.

Crying about the handball is just a waste of energy. If Tonda takes that attitude away from the result then he's a coward and a fool.

The writing was on the wall in that second half, now he's got to fucking sort it and quick.

There was hardly any urgency in the last ten minutes from us. Really dissapointing

Last 10 minutes.  There was no urgency for the whole of the second half.  We were walking, we were weak.

Tbf, should be a point away from home if the ref had eyes.

We didn't manage a meaningful attack in 52 minutes. Can't blame the ref.

Same, got a Millwall away feel to it , 2nd half against WBA was so bad feels like we could let that drag over into this game

Hated that game, felt like Norwich were more streetwise and wanted it more, we're so easy to bully. All the same old weaknesses on display.

Load of shite from Tonda with really tough run of games now to come. Azaz poor I think, second half we were too easy to defend against.

Exactly. Whatever else happened on the game. However poor our threat was second half. They cheated to win.

Exactly this. Shocking decision that. It was a clear handball.

Again, what has that got to do with it? Had the ref gotten it right we’d have gotten a point so I’d say it’s fairly straightforward to blame the ref actually.

It was both a foul and a handball. Deserved or not they got a huge assist from the ref today.

And we got what our approach to the game merited. They were in total control in the second half, and we basically capitulated after that second goal.

Yep, and watch these cunts give the former a contract extension within the month. Learning appears so difficult for these owners.

Norwich bullied us today and kicked us about.

Our inability to switch up the tactics also cost us.

Been saying it for 3 seasons now, get some strength, bollocks and physicality in this team.

Oh well. I'm still sticking to what I think will happen and that a mid table finish. We have such a bad defence its unbelievable. You cant get into top 6 place anx then play like we do week in week out expecting other teams to be crap in attack. Sheffield Wed, lucky, Leicester lucky the list goes on. Yes we have played some top level attacking football but its masking the fact we are terrible at back. Why on earth are we bringing on someone who played for us years ago? Returning players haven't worked in last few seasons. Just get a fit player in Jan window.

We played poorly and didn’t deserve to win but we were still cheated out of a point.

Or they might have scored another. There is no causative thread that guarantees a draw if that handball is spotted.

We deserved to lose.

We deserved that purely because having zero urgency with 10 mins left is unforgivable, yes we miss fellows but players need to get the basics right, slow passing, lack of running and bottling it against physical players is just crap.Too many individual players who are more interested in golf tomorrow and going out tonight I'm afraid,I've said for ages we needed a manager who'd tear them a new one when required, can Tonda do that, at 32...probably not and there in lies an issue, I'm not saying he's the wrong manager, I'm saying our dressing room probably has too much player power.

Fucking load of old pony. We’ve got some right noddy supporters. Crying about a handball you can’t expect the referee to see. No doubt you would have been moaning  if that disallowed goal was at the other end. We got what we deserved, fuck all,  and that had absolutely nothing to do with the referee.

We didn't deserve anything on that second half showing. Yes it was a handball but that incident happened with well over 25 minutes to play. We would not have held on for anything regardless of the goal or not. Second half we were completely dog shit again.

What about what I said is “pony”? It was a handball, you can’t score with your hand and so it should have been disallowed. If it had, we’d have gotten a point. You really do write some utter nonsense.

We don't play second halves

Years from now we'll find out it was a misunderstanding.

Our super duper marketing team were trying to come up with a new "we march on" to annoy us with after crushing defeats. Tonda overheard, "Saints we don't do things by half" and it got lost in the translation.

Also peak saints to play a team without their star striker and let the replacement score twice.

Also while I know their second was a handball, but I have zero faith bazanu would have saved the pre-handball shot.

I don't think it's learning so much but more a refusal to admit their mistakes. (pride/ego?)

They just double down on them.
