So now we can keep a clean sheet but can't score. Genius. Our owners/manager are so delusional can guarantee they're thinking Stewart will return and blast us to promotion from here. I'm laughing but crying inside.

So why after a good start, have we reverted to the shut old same tippy happy of the pa?st five years ???

I thought the bad times were over. Really elated. Now back to depression. Bastards.

At least “Spin the Wheel” at half time was a roaring success

The players use the wheel before match.

Kick ball forward

Shoot

Bag sweets

Recycle ball

2 pints at halftime

Pass sideways

Cheese burger

Away shirt

Pass backwards

67% possession and nearly twice as many backward passes than milwall (86-45) says it all.

We’re so easy to play against

And incredibly negative as well. Truly anti-football.

Time the coach and SR stopped insulting the intelligence of our fans. The team is serving up absolute dross every time they set foot on the pitch yet nothing is being done to resolve the obvious problems. Don't come out and give us the usual after match comments and take us for fools. Say it how it is for once and you will get more respect. The fan base has been far more patient than the club deserve. We all know it will be more of the same on Sunday against Boro. Don't tell us you are happy with the squad and that we don't need to do any business in the January window unless you are happy with the steaming shit we offer every game. The club is a joke and the fans deserve so much better but it'll never happen under Solak, Ankersen and the rest of the clowns.

How can we literally have no other option than pass it around at the back and continue with three centre backs?

Tonda is going to be an awful appointment isn’t he?

Amazes me we still get over 30k last two home games both Cat A prices, I expect them to drop quite a bit in January now

I truly believe there is a player power problem at St Mary's, looks to me that a few ego's pressure a very young inexperienced manager, and that manager knows full well they will throw him under the bus, I was no fan of Will Still but I think that's what happened to him. RM was the players buddy, train when you want to, extra days off for the all important golf, playing terribly but you still get picked etc etc, I bet there was no fine system, discipline whatsoever. So on massive wages they don't break a sweat, manager pisses me off, I won't break a sweat, the attitude of he'll be gone soon etc etc. And so it's toxic, we'll sell Scienza, fellows for good money, probably a couple of others for not a lot, and next season we go again in the championship, with a far on paper weaker team, a new manager, and Sports republic mediocrity for seasons to come.

I reckon you're probably right. I get that vibe from a lot of players. Stephens, THB, Manning, Downes etc.

The type of meaningless bull shit we're starting to hear this season from SR reminds me of the board under Michael Wilde all those years ago. I had first hand experience of their crap and they were a bunch of clueless clowns. Things just don't feel right.

Did we have any shots at their goal, on target or otherwise?

The first time a CB attempted a penetrative through-ball to break the lines was THB in injury time in the second half which immediately created a chance. Why do they feel that they can only try this at the death?

That’s so bad 😂

How can the manager say it was a good game?
His comments simply don’t match what we are all watching

This sort of thing is really both annoying and insulting. Tell the fucking truth.

One time that made me laugh Jelert ran about 40 yards with the ball, got into their half then turn back and passed it back about 30 yards to another defender sums us up

Some may feel Baz should be MOTM and great save but on 3 occasions we gifted corners where he could have come and caught it unchallenged.

Our Russ would have loved that, in fact have Tonda and Russ ever been seen together at the same time?

TBF great to see a team in red and white fight, scrap, run and give everything for the cause. Supporters must be very proud of them. We could learn so much from Sunderland

Isn't it on record that the senior players said they are more 'comfortable' playing the possession style and tippy-tappy, or did I imagine that?

Some people have got stick for saying that they think SR and the players have influenced how we play regardless of the manager, but a few 'regulars' disappeared under Still - so did they argue and get dropped - we had the mystery 'the coach isn't popular' news item, which people said was Stephens, who was dropped at the time. Yet, the team goes back to this style of play eventually, and when they play a different way they don't seem to like it - I mean even the 5-1 thumping style lasted about two games.

You can call us conspiracy theorists, nutters, anything you want - but this team under SR ends up playing 3 CBs as soon as they can and loves tippy-tappy football.

Until SR are completely gone, along with a lot of senior players, we are stuck with this crap.

To be honest this will be my last post for a while, I've lost interest in the football entirely and although this place is fun we are just talking in circles - nothing is going to change. Not. One. Thing.

Very much my own sentiments - only watched after 20 mins or so today because Gary Anderson won his WDC QF and the next QF wasn’t on until 7.15 and Cheltenham were getting humped at Crewe. The Saints match was every bit as dreadful as I feared and I should have watched some of a box set instead. I can tolerate poor results but the boredom that comes from the corporate-imposed style of anti-football is like taking Valium. I can see why @John Boy Saint fell asleep in front of his log burner. There’s 30k mugs inside the stadium in the freezing cold who wished they could do the same and got ripped off by the club.

I’d much rather the club went bust than limped on under these charlatans for several more years. We might get a good buyer or not get one at all, but this is a living death slowly but surely with Rasmus’s hands around the club and city’s throat. It wasn’t great 2017-22 either but at least Ralph’s team generally gave their all, even if limited in ability and the Project Restart style was a great watch. Watching now is a punishment and life’s difficult enough these days.

I won’t watch regularly until SR are gone, lock stock and barrel. Life is too short to be bored senseless or made miserable by someone’s warped experiments however much the club meant once upon a time to my family. I’ll keep on the forum as a link to my place of birth and where I grew up as much as anything else.

I have no trust and confidence in SR whatsoever to turn this around and there is nothing they can do to persuade me of competence or capability. I’ll follow Cheltenham Town still but my interest in football is very limited now. Even major tournaments and England is tainted by FIFA’s behaviour. I was a STH for many years, home and away. It’s the youngsters I feel most sorry for. I have plenty of other leisure activities and sometimes forget the matches are even going on, but for them it’s big part of their growing up and life at school. Also, empathy with people working at the club and redundancies, plus the impact on the city economically of SR destroying the football club.

I feel your pain my friend. Anyone who loves the club is struggling at the moment.  Ive seen some bad times over the years but just detest what this crowd are doing to the club that I started loving at 7. They are like a disease. Don’t let them succeed in destroying what you love. We just have to wait till they go and hope that something happens soon that loosens their control.

Ha! Didn't realise the game was on today and missed it completely - sounds like I missed nothing. I've been a Saints fan for 58 years - I never thought I'd be so disengaged in this club.

From a quick scan let me say let's get real on the Bazunu thing - two good saves in two games does not make him the top-of-the-Championship quality we need.

No doubt this will give the management team a reason not to follow-through on getting the new 'keeper we so desperately need...unless someone tells me that deal has already been done?
